• I recommend "Yufuin Bettei Itsuki." It's about a 20-minute walk from Yufuin Station and is surrounded by rural scenery. The atmosphere is nice, all the rooms are independent guest cottages, and the in-room baths are also hot springs. Dinner was a creative Japanese banquet, with beautiful tableware and artistic cuisine made with ingredients from Oita Prefecture. There was also locally produced wine. For breakfast, we enjoyed freshly baked bread and fresh local vegetables while looking out at the garden. We were able to enjoy a relaxing and precious time.
