Accommodation within walking distance of Otaru Station
There is a hot spring in the hotel, and dinner and breakfast are delicious. The menu uses ingredients from Hokkaido and there is a wide variety of meals. It is recommended because it is located right in front of the canal, has a nice view, and you can take a full-fledged hot spring within walking distance of the station.

Convenient accommodation for sightseeing in Otaru
"Furukawa" is a fairly well-known hotel in Hokkaido. There are two indoor and outdoor baths where you can relax. The food is comparable to that of a high-class Ryokan (Japanese inn), and I think the cost performance is quite good. It is conveniently located right in front of the Otaru Canal with a nice view, and it is within walking distance of the station, so it is easy to get around.

Perfect hotel for sightseeing at Otaru Canal
If you are going to visit the Otaru Canal, this is the closest place and is recommended. The exterior looks like a business hotel, but the room was a beautiful Japanese-style twin room. I stayed on the canal side, so I could see the canal right in front of me from the window. There is a large communal bath and an open-air bath, and you can also rent a private open-air bath for a fee, so you can relax and unwind.

Hotel located along the Otaru Canal
This is a nostalgic hot spring hotel located along the Otaru Canal in Hokkaido. It's not too far away, about a 13-minute walk from JR Hakodate Main Line Otaru Station. It's also easy to get to tourist spots in the center of Otaru. The Japanese-style building has a large public bath and an open-air bath. The hotel is very popular, and the staff were very hospitable. The meals are homemade dishes made with ingredients from Hokkaido. Breakfast is a Japanese and Western Buffet, and dinner is kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with ingredients from around Otaru, and everything is delicious.
