  • Yukai Resort Premium Gero Saichoraku Honkan
  • I want to use the "Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility)" to go on a hot spring tour of Gero Onsen! Are there any hot spring inns that are popular based on reviews?

I'm planning to go to Gero Onsen after visiting Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. I'd like to visit the hot springs, but are there any recommended hotels that are eligible for the "Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility)"? I'd like to visit two hot springs in addition to the one at the hotel where I'm staying while sightseeing.
Since I plan to stay in Gero Onsen for two nights, I want to keep the accommodation costs down, budgeting for less than 15,000 yen per person per night.
We are scheduled to arrive at Gero Onsen in the evening of the first night and stay there for two nights.

Yukai Resort Premium Gero Saichoraku Honkan

Koden 1605

  • Eat as much delicious Gifu food as you like at the buffet!

  • Saichoraku Honkan is a hotel with good access, located a 12-minute walk from Gero Station. The accommodation fee is cheap, and breakfast and dinner are included, and it is recommended that you also use the hot springs. You can keep the cost under 10,000 yen per night, use Visiting hot springs pass to stay at a high-class hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn), and enjoy a slightly luxurious lunch, so it is a recommended way to enjoy your trip.

Gero Onsen Suimeikan

  • A special time spent at a member Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • We recommend Gero Onsen Suimeikan. Not only is this inn one of the member Ryokan (Japanese inn), but the inn itself has four accommodation buildings, three of which have their own hot springs with different characteristics, making it an attractive point. You can enjoy a quick hot spring hopping experience within the same facility, such as the open-air bath at Sansuikaku, the cypress bath at Rinsenkaku, and the large observation bath at Hisenkaku. The alkaline simple hot spring with a faint sulfur scent is gentle on the skin, and it is a recommended hot spring inn where you can feel the strong smoothness of your skin after bathing.

Gero Onsen Bosenkan

190-1 Yunoshima, Gero

  • The soothing Japanese-style garden is a highlight.

  • If you are going on a girls trip to Gero Onsen, I recommend "Bosenkan". It was founded in the late Edo period during the Bunsei era and has a history of 200 years. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese-style garden of over 1000 tsubo, which is very relaxing. The guest rooms are mostly Japanese-style, but there are also Japanese and Western room with beds. It is a member of Visiting hot springs Tegata eligible Ryokan (Japanese inn), so I recommend it.

  • At night, you can enjoy the night view of hot spring town.

  • If you are in Gero Onsen, why not try "Chikusuitei"? Located about a 5-minute walk from Gero Station, this inn has a total of 18 rooms and is a very fine inn. There are three types of rooms: regular rooms, special rooms, and the Yugiri Room, all of which are Japanese-style. The Yugiri Room is the only Japanese and Western room can accommodate up to 6 people and has a cypress bathtub. All of the rooms are bright and spacious, so you can relax in comfort. The large bath, with its entire wall made of glass windows, offers the best view. During the day, you can see the lush mountains, and at night, you can enjoy the night view of the hot spring town. There is also a cypress family bath, which can be rented out exclusively, making it popular with couples and families. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients, including the famous Hida beef. The voluminous content and beautiful appearance will make mealtimes even more enjoyable.

  • Conveniently located for Visiting hot springs, you can enjoy Hida beef at a reasonable price

  • Minori-so is an inn that is eligible for Visiting hot springs, and is located a 7-minute walk from Gero Station, making it a convenient base for exploring. The hot springs in the inn are 100% natural and can be used 24 hours a day. There is a large public bath with a great view and a private bath, and you can also use the baths at the sister hotel, Hotel Kusakabe Almeria. Dinner is a creative kaiseki meal made with local seasonal ingredients, and you can eat plenty of Hida beef. It is a very good value inn, so I recommend it.

Gero Onsen Yamagata

260-1 Yunoshima

  • From Yamagataya, you can enjoy hot spring tours in Gero Onsen.

  • If you're traveling with two girls and want to enjoy Gero Onsen, we recommend Yamagataya. This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business continuously since the first year of Bunka in the Edo period. Yamagataya is a member of Ryokan (Japanese inn) that are eligible for the Yu Visiting hot springs Tegata. The inn has a spacious large bath and an open-air bath, where you can enjoy the hot springs while looking out at the murmuring of the Hida River and the Hida mountains. There is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take instagrammable photos. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients from the Hida region. The inn is just a two-minute walk from the hot spring town, making it an ideal place for sightseeing and hot spring touring.

Gero Royal Hotel Miyabitei

758-15 Yunoshima, Gero-shi

  • A popular inn for couples and women in the center of Gero Onsen town

  • Gero Royal Hotel Miyabitei is proud of its hot springs, and in addition to the large open-air bath with a view, there are various facilities such as a cypress open-air bath, a garden open-air bath with six tub baths, and two foot baths. There is also a ladies' plan that is great for women, where you can choose your favorite colored yukata from dozens of patterns for free, and a plan where you can have kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal Hida ingredients, including Hida beef, served in your room. Even so, it is less than 15,000 yen per night, so this hotel is recommended. Also, although this hotel is eligible for Visiting hot springs Tegata, if you want to enter this hot spring from another hotel, it is only available from 7:30 to 8:30, so if you stay at this hotel, you will be able to enjoy the popular hot springs at your leisure.
