  • Traveling to Kagoshima by Shinkansen: Are there any accommodations that have a shuttle bus to the main station in Ibusuki Onsen?

I'm going to Kagoshima on a business trip with a colleague. We are planning to take the Shinkansen from Kagoshima to Ibusuki Onsen. It would be nice if there was a shuttle bus to Kagoshima Chuo Station, but if there isn't, please let me know of a hot spring inn that has a shuttle bus to the main station, considering that we will return by Shinkansen.

  • Most hotels offer a shuttle service to Ibusuki Station. This inn has a very nice Japanese atmosphere and a beautiful garden, which was relaxing. The hot spring was spacious and kept my body warm for a while.

This inn does provide a shuttle service from JR Ibusuki Station. You can enjoy the hot springs of Ibusuki to the fullest in the large public bath, open-air bath, and private half-open-air bath. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with seasonal ingredients, mainly from local Kagoshima ingredients. We recommend this inn as it has Japanese-style rooms where you can relax and enjoy the view of Ibusuki's streetscape.

  • Ibusuki Onsen is over 50km away, so if you consider the transportation time, it's probably better to take the JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Line to Ibusuki Station.   • Unfortunately, there are no accommodations that offer free shuttle buses to Kagoshima Chuo Station. To get to Ibusuki Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station, please take the local train. At Kyuka Mura, not only can you enjoy the free-flowing Ibusuki hot spring water from the large indoor bath and the open-air bath with a view of Kinko Bay up close, but you can also enjoy a sand bath (990 yen per use). There is also a private semi-open-air bath. For dinner, you can choose your main dish and then enjoy a half-buffet style meal, with plenty of local cuisine. For breakfast, the buffet includes sweets and fruit, which gets you excited for a healthy tropical breakfast in the morning.

  • If you're visiting Ibusuki Onsen, how about "Kyuka Mura Ibusuki"? The inn is located on the coast overlooking Kinko Bay at the foot of Mt. Uomi. The guest rooms are divided into two groups, one on the Japanese and Western room side and one on the Mt. Uomi side, and come in Japanese-Western style, Japanese style and Western style. The hot springs include an open-air bath with running water, an indoor bath covered with tatami mats and a sand bath. The meals are a multi-course meal with a half Buffet, so you can have fun choosing what to eat. It's a bit out of the way from Kagoshima Chuo Station, but there is a free shuttle bus from Ibusuki Station. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes.
