  • Two nights at Dogo Onsen. Which hot spring inn offers the best Breathtaking view?

I'd like to spend two nights relaxing at Dogo Onsen in Ehime Prefecture and experience a Japanese hot spring inn. I'd like to relax in my room while enjoying Breathtaking view view. If you have any recommendations for hot spring inns that are worth staying at once, please let me know.

Dogo Yuzuki-cho 4-4

  • A recommended inn where you can enjoy Breathtaking view at Dogo Onsen

  • Thisinn is conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Dogo Onsen and boasts Breathtaking view from its open-air bath. You can also enjoy the hot springs from Dogo's first open-air rooftop bath and large observation bath, which offer spectacular views of Matsuyama Castle to the south and Mt. Ishizuchi to the north. As for meals, you can enjoy a carefully selected kaiseki course that matches Setouchi with high-quality ingredients such as Iyo beef and Matsuyama chicken. In particular, the Iyo beef sashimi and foie gras Rossini with truffle-flavored egg and early mandarin crepes flambé are superb.

Dogo Onsen Dogo Funaya

1-33 Yunomachi, Dogo

  • This is Dogo's oldest and most established Ryokan (Japanese inn), and its 1,000m2 natural garden offers seasonal views.

  • How about Funaya Hotel? It is located about 25 minutes by car from Matsuyama IC. It is the oldest traditional Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Dogo and its 1,000 tsubo natural garden offers seasonal scenery. The baths are drawn from DogoOnsen, and the alkaline simple spring water is effective against rheumatism and neurological diseases. There is also a plan where you can dine in your room, so you can enjoy the ingredients of Setouchi.

Dogo Onsen Dogo Grand Hotel

06-21 Yunomachi, Dogo

  • The Japanese-style rooms with a great view are a highlight

  • We would like to introduce this inn, which offers a choice of dinner options and is recommended for consecutive nights. There are Japanese-style rooms where you can relax and forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life while looking out at the Dogo townscape. You will be able to refresh yourself in the spacious Japanese-style rooms. The large communal bath and open-air bath also have a sense of openness.

Livemax Resort Okudogo

300-1 Suemachi

  • An inn surrounded by the mountains of Oku-Dogo

  • This hotel is located in Okudogo and is recommended for those who want to enjoy the scenery. It is surrounded by mountains and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The rooms with open-air baths have balconies. The fence is a bit of a nuisance, but the view from the open-air baths is beautiful, with a view of the deep green mountains.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Dogo

Dogohimezuka 112-1

  • The night view from the open-air bath is Breathtaking view!

  • Dogo Onsen has a fairly large large bath and an open-air bath for men and women. From the open-air bath you can see Matsuyama Castle in the distance, and the hot spring town below. At night, Matsuyama Castle is lit up and the hot spring town shines like a jewel. There is also a sauna attached to the large bath, which closes at midnight and opens at 6:00 in the morning, but you can take a bath all night long except for the cleaning time from 1:00 to 3:00. Meals are served as a breakfast and dinner Buffet, and Buffet food that Yukai Resort is known for has a wide variety and is delicious. There are also many desserts and soft drinks. You won't get bored even if you stay two days in a row. There are entertainment facilities such as table tennis, karaoke, a games corner, and massage machines.

Old England Dogo Yamanote Hotel

1-13 Dogo Sagidani-cho, Matsuyama-shi

  • Overlooking the hot spring town of Dogo

  • Dogo Yamanote Hotel is located on a hill overlooking the DogoOnsen hot spring town, and offers Breathtaking view of the Oku-Dogo mountains in the distance. The building has a retro-modern atmosphere reminiscent of England, yet the baths are Japanese-style hot springsthat inherit the traditional appearance of Dogo Onsen. This hot spring hotel has a sense of atmosphere, even though it feels like a mismatch.

4-4 Dogo Sagidani-cho, Matsuyama-shi

  • The view from the open-air bath is wonderful.

  • All 19 rooms are luxurious suites with their own open-air baths! If you are staying with foreign friends, we recommend a Japanese-style room with tatami flooring like in Ryokan (Japanese inn). All rooms have large windows, so you can enjoy a spectacular view no matter what season you visit, and of course you can enjoy the outdoor view while bathing in the open-air bath attached to your room. This hotel also has a lobby lounge with all-you-can-drink beer, and meals made with local ingredients, so you will be very satisfied with its facilities and services.

Dogo Miyu

2-20 Dogo Sagidani-cho, Matsuyama-shi

  • A lodging for adults with a modern Japanese atmosphere

  • The hotel is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from DogoOnsen Station. All 30 rooms are equipped with an open-air hot spring bath. If you stay on a higher floor, you'll have a great view and a beautiful night view. On the top floor, there is an observation bath and an open-air bath with a panoramic view of Matsuyama Castle and the castle town, so you can enjoy the hot springs in comfort. After the bath, you can relax in the sky lounge or rooftop terrace to cool down. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )from the Seto Inland Sea, including delicious sea bream dishes.

Kowakuen Haruka

Dogosagidani-cho 1-1

  • Open-air bath Breathtaking view on the top floor

  • Speaking of great views, Hotel Koyakuen Haruka is the place to go. This hotel opened in 2019, so it's relatively new, but it's one that's garnering a lot of attention. You can listen to live piano music in the lounge bar at night. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style, with a wide selection of seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. The beds here are made by Serta, and are a little harder than regular beds, but very comfortable. The best part is Breathtaking view of Matsuyama city from the open-air bath. Highly recommended.
