  • Kotosankaku Hotel
  • Best Ryokans & Hotels in Kotohira Onsen, Kagawa

I'm planning a trip to Shikoku and want to stay in Kotohira Onsen (Kagawa). Can anyone recommend a nice ryokan? I'd really love one with an open-air bath (rotenburo).

Kotosankaku Hotel

685-11 Kotohira-cho, Nakatado-Gun

  • Excellent Location! 5-Min Walk to Kotohira Station & the Main Street

  • How about Kotosankaku? It's in a great, convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from both Kotohira Station and the main Omotesando street. Guests staying in the main building have exclusive access to an observation bath with magnificent, panoramic views of the Shikoku landscape. For dinner, you can enjoy a Japanese kaiseki course featuring the bounty of both the Seto Inland Sea and the Sanuki countryside. The "Olive-Jidori Kamameshi" (Olive Chicken Hot Pot Rice) was particularly outstanding.

  • The open-air observation bath exclusively for guests in the main building offers Breathtaking view

  • This is a wonderful inn located in the temple town of Konpira Shrine in Konpira Onsen. The open-air observation bath and large bath, exclusively for guests of the main building's Hitenkan, offer a luxurious time while looking at the magnificent view of Konpira Shrine below. Dinner was a Japanese banquet. There was a wide variety of dishes, which were delicious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was either Buffet or a Japanese set meal, which seems to change depending on the day.

  • A hotel representing Kotohira

  • This is a hotel that satisfies you in every way. The rooms are spacious, and the hot spring is spacious and relaxing. The dishes are full of Setouchi delicacies and are very filling, so there's nothing to complain about. It's also very conveniently located near Kotohira-san and the theater.

  • A hotel close to the approach to the shrine and with a fun interior

  • I stayed here once when I visited Konpira-san. It's very convenient as it's close to the approach to the temple. The main building and the annex are connected by a slope, so you can use the escalator to move between them. There are paintings and furnishings on display on the walls of the corridor between them, which you can enjoy. There are various facilities inside the building, such as karaoke rooms, so you can relax and enjoy yourself inside. There are also room plans with open-air baths. There is a large public bath and an open-air bath, and the women's bath has rose flowers floating in it, which is lovely. There is a walking stick at the entrance that you can use when visiting Konpira-san, and you can use it freely. This is a wonderful hotel that represents Kotohira.
