The large communal bath has an open-air bath, where you can relax and enjoy the changing of the seasons. The indoor bath is tastefully designed, which also made us feel warm and relaxed. The food is a kaiseki meal made with local seasonal ingredients, and is delicious and filling. Free drinks are available in the lounge, so you can relax and enjoy the goodness of Japan.

It is a fine old-fashioned Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a warm wooden feel. The purely Japanese-style building is popular with foreigners as well. It is also an ideal base for sightseeing along the Kisoji road. You can enjoy the hot spring to your heart's content in the open-air bath, where you can hear the murmuring of the Kiso River.
