  • Hotel Gyokusen
  • Tamatsukuri Onsen for couples! A hotel where you can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content

I really like the quality of the spring water at Tamatsukuri Onsen and have been there a few times, but next time I want to stay at a hotel that is all about the hot springs. If you have any recommendations for hotels with open-air baths, please let me know.

Hotel Gyokusen

Tamayucho Tamatsukuri 53-2

  • The large, rocky and cypress bath and open-air bath are the largest in western Japan.

  • The hotel boasts a large, rocky and cypress bathhouse, one of the largest in western Japan, as well as an open-air bath. The skin-beautifying water will refresh your body and mind. The Japanese garden on the premises, "Kyokusui-no-Niwa," boasts natural beauty created by a rock garden and pine trees. The bonfires at night create an indescribable atmosphere. Relax in the spacious, relaxing Japanese-style room and enjoy creative kaiseki cuisine made with seasonal local ingredients.

  • If you're looking for a hot spring with a great view, we also recommend these:

  • This hot spring inn offers a view that can only be enjoyed at an inn surrounded by nature. The open-air bath is spacious, allowing you to relax while admiring the natural beauty. The water is viscous, leaving your skin silky smooth after bathing. The Japanese-style rooms are stylish, with a modern Japanese style. You can spend a fulfilling time just inside the building, so it's recommended for a hot spring date.

  • The hot springs were amazing, definitely worth a visit!

  • I stayed here in the cold month of December. The staff were very hospitable and I had a very enjoyable time. The open-air hot spring was clean and deep, so I was able to soak in it thoroughly. The quality of the spring water was also good. I stayed here on a budget, but I was more than satisfied with the price.

  • A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can improve your skin

  • This is a hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can enjoy skin-beautifying water that is like lotion. There is a large public bath, a jet bath, an open-air bath, a dry sauna, and a mist sauna, so you can polish your skin. You can enter the hot spring at any time of the night. There are five foot baths in the garden, so it is just the right place for couples to sit and chat together. The Ryokan (Japanese inn) offers a rental service for colorful yukata for women, so you can take instagrammable worthy photos. Dinner is kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )using local seasonal ingredients, and depending on the plan, you can enjoy boiled snow crab, blackthroat seaperch, and Japanese black beef. The Ryokan (Japanese inn) is located along the Tamayu River, and during cherry blossom season, cherry blossoms bloom in profusion along both sides of the river for about 2 km, so why not go with your partner during that season? The cherry blossoms at night are also fantastic and beautiful.
