• This inn is located in nature, a little independent guest cottages from the main street of Kurokawa Onsen. The hot spring is in an open-air bath made of mountain stones from the Kuju mountain range, so you can enjoy the seasonal nature right before your eyes. The food is exquisite, with creative kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）made with plenty of ingredients from Kumamoto. It is a small, quiet Ryokan (Japanese inn), and I was able to fully enjoy the Japanese atmosphere. Both the exterior and interior are Japanese-style, making instagrammable.

• Ryokan (Japanese inn) is located in the mountains, a 7-minute walk from the center of Kurokawa Onsen, surrounded by nature. You'll be soothed by the fresh greenery in the summer and the autumn leaves in the fall. It's a 3-story building with no elevator, so it's a little inconvenient, but you can feel the warmth of the wood and tatami mats in this Japanese-style building. It's retro but stylish, making instagrammable. There are 4 private indoor baths, so you can enjoy bathing with friends without worrying about others. The 100% natural hot spring so the quality of the water was excellent. The food was Japanese kaiseki kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）that allowed you to feel the seasons, and it looked gorgeous and was delicious.
