  • If you are looking for a family trip to Konpira Onsen, I recommend "Kotohira-kaku." It's one of the largest ryokans in the Konpira Onsen area, and the facilities are extremely comprehensive. If you stay in the standard "Sansuikan" wing, you should be able to find a buffet plan that fits your budget of around 15,000 yen. The buffet has many items that kids love, like steak, sushi, and tempura, so the whole family enjoyed it. The baths are also very spacious. The garden-style open-air bath was very pleasant, offering a great sense of openness. It's highly recommended if you are traveling with children.

Guests staying in the main building have exclusive access to an observation bath with magnificent, panoramic views of the Shikoku landscape. For dinner, you can enjoy a Japanese kaiseki course featuring the bounty of both the Seto Inland Sea and the Sanuki countryside. The "Olive-Jidori Kamameshi" (Olive Chicken Hot Pot Rice) was particularly outstanding.

  • 金比羅さんにお参りする際に一度利用しました。参道にも近くてとても便利です。本館と別館がスロープで結ばれているので、移動するにはエスカレーターを利用します。その間廊下の壁には絵や調度品が展示されていて鑑賞ができます。館内にはカラオケルームなど色んな施設が揃っているので館内でもゆっくりと楽しめます。露天風呂付のお部屋プランもございます。大浴場と露天風呂があって、女性風呂にはバラの花が浮かべられていて素敵です。玄関には金比羅さんに参拝する際に使う杖が置いてあり、自由に利用できます。琴平を代表する素敵なホテルです。

If you make a reservation in advance, they will pick you up and drop you off at JR Kotohira Station for free.   • Dinner is sometimes served buffet style on weekends and during the summer holidays. They have sushi and steak, and the best part is the all-you-can-drink beer and cocktails. It was delicious and I enjoyed it. The baths were also great, with a variety of different types to choose from.

  • It's near Konpira Shrine.

  • This hotel is located at the foot of the road to Konpira Shrine. The best thing about this hotel is the open-air bath on the top floor. I stayed there in winter, so I was able to bathe in the open-air bath early in the morning when it was snowing. The temperature difference was so pleasant that I soaked in it until I got hot!
