  • Best Value Ryokans with Open-Air Baths in Kagawa's Konpira Onsen?

My family and I are planning a trip to Konpira Onsen in Kagawa this spring. We're looking for a ryokan with a great open-air bath that's a good value, ideally around 15,000 yen per person, per night. Any recommendations?

  • View the hot spring town from the open-air bath

  • For meals, we enjoyed creative cuisine that used many ingredients from Kagawa. For hot springs, we were able to enjoy the natural hot springs from the open-air bath on the rooftop while looking out over the hot spring town.

  • A Historic Ryokan Founded in the Mid-Edo Period

  • This is a historic ryokan founded in the mid-Edo period. The onsen features a mineral-rich salt spring, which is excellent for retaining body heat and moisturizing the skin. You can enjoy bathing in various settings, including an open-air observation bath that offers views of Mt. Kotohira and Mt. Sanuki Fuji. The pricing is also quite reasonable if you choose the right season; we noted some dates available in the 15,000 to 20,000 yen range. For dinner, we were served a Japanese kaiseki course that skillfully utilized local ingredients from Kagawa Prefecture.

  • A good value accommodation with an open-air bath

  • There is an open-air bath where you can see the seasonal scenery of Konpira-san, the temple town of Kotohira, and the Sanuki Plain. We enjoyed the natural sodium chloride cold mineral spring in the open-air bath and the large bath. There is also a private bath where you can relax. For dinner, we had kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )that used plenty of local seasonal ingredients, including wagyu beef.

  • Enjoy the seasonal scenery of Mt. Konpira from the open-air bath

  • There is an open-air bath with Breathtaking view view of Mt. Konpira, and you can enjoy the beneficial hot springs to your heart's content. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Shikoku throughout the four seasons. There are also spacious rooms where you can relax. The food, which uses local ingredients from Kagawa Prefecture, such as seasonal fish from the Seto Inland Sea, is delicious, and costs around 15,000 to 20,000 yen per person for two meals.
