  • Best Value Ryokans with Open-Air Baths in Kagawa's Konpira Onsen?

My family and I are planning a trip to Konpira Onsen in Kagawa this spring. We're looking for a ryokan with a great open-air bath that's a good value, ideally around 15,000 yen per person, per night. Any recommendations?

Sakuranoshou Kotohira Grand Hotel

977-1 Kotohira-Cho, Nakatado-Gun

  • Perfect Location for the Konpira-san Visit & Great Views from the Bath

  • "Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranosho" is perfectly located right on the main approach (Omotesando) to Kotohira-gu Shrine. The location is outstanding. The open-air baths (rotenburo) here are fantastic, too. From the men's bath, you can actually see the Omon Gate (Great Gate) of the shrine. It's the perfect way to soothe your tired muscles after the long climb, all while enjoying the view. If you choose a standard plan, there are many dates available for around 15,000 yen. For what you get, I think it offers excellent value (good "cospa").

  • The soothing aroma of the "Hanaburo" is a must-see for women

  • We think the Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakura no Sho is perfect for your budget and preferences. The most recommended feature of this hotel is the open-air bath in the large communal bath. The women's open-air bath in particular is called the "Hanaburo" (Flower Bath), and many colorful rose flowers float on the water's surface. The wonderful scent will really make you feel like a princess. After your bath, they also offer free ice cream, which the whole family can enjoy.

  • A hotel in Konpira Onsen that exudes kindness and warmth

  • The hotel is located at the foot of the road to Konpira Shrine, and the lobby was nice, wrapped in the warm pink of cherry blossoms. There was an open-air bath, and I especially enjoyed the women's open-air bath with its lovely rose fragrance. The Sanuki udon and other local dishes, as well as the breakfast Buffet with 50 different items, were delicious. There was also free rental of colorful yukata for women.
