  • Yumura Onsen Asanoya Ryokan
  • Yumura Onsen│Recommended for couples♪ Wonderful hot spring inns and Ryokan (Japanese inn) with rooms with open-air baths

I'm going to the quiet and historic Yumura Onsen. I'm planning a stroll around the hot spring town looking for hidden hearts, and a visit to the ruins of Takeda Castle. I'd like a room with an open-air bath, so are there any recommended hotels or Ryokan (Japanese inn)?

Yumura Onsen Asanoya Ryokan

No. 1269, Yu, Japan

  • The impressive exterior resembles a Japanese castle

  • I recommend "Asanoya." With an impressive exterior that resembles a Japanese castle, Ryokan (Japanese inn) bases its hospitality on the three arts of flower arrangement, tea ceremony, and incense-smelling. There are a variety of guest rooms, including Japanese-style rooms with over 10 tatami mats, Japanese-style rooms with open-air cypress baths, Japanese-style rooms with open-air ceramic baths, and the highest-ranking VIP room. For meals, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients such as Tajima beef, Matsuba crab, firefly squid, rock oysters, and local vegetables. For hot springs, you can enjoy bathing in the atmospheric garden open-air bath, the 1200-year-old cypress bath, and the private open-air bath where you can relax.

  • There is a lovely open-air bath

  • This is a Yumura Onsen inn with rooms that have open-air baths. The open-air baths in the rooms are large enough for two adults to relax and enjoy the hot springs. The large open-air bath has a wonderful atmosphere, and you can enjoy bath to view the snow during the snowy season.

The shared baths include an indoor bath with the scent of cypress, as well as an open-air bath with a private hot spring source, allowing you to feel closer to nature. You can enjoy seafood from the Sea of Japan for meals.

  • A Japanese-style open-air bath

  • I recommend "Asanoya." They have rooms with open-air baths. The shared open-air bath is tasteful and spacious, so you can relax in the hot spring and relieve your fatigue in one go. For meals, you can enjoy dishes made with seasonal ingredients in a private dining room. You can also eat Tajima beef, which will leave you satisfied.
