  • A hot spring inn in Niigata where you can enjoy delicious new rice and sake

It's the season for new rice, so I'm looking for a hotel with a hot spring where I can enjoy new rice and sake in Niigata. Can you recommend a hotel with in-room dining and parking?

Koshinoyado Takashimaya

  • Enjoy sake and cuisine in your room

  • At "Takashimaya", we chose the in-room dining plan, so we could enjoy sake and food together. The sake was tasting, so we could enjoy it to the fullest. The room had a retro yet modern atmosphere, and the new facilities and interior were relaxing. The large hot spring bath was well-constructed, and the open-air bath was also very tasteful.

  • A space filled with good old Japanese atmosphere

  • I recommend the "Takashi no Yado Takashimaya," a lodging facility registered as a tangible cultural property by the government. The building is a former village headman's residence from 250 years ago, and features Japanese hearth and a large garden, giving the space a good old Japanese atmosphere. The guest rooms are Japanese-style rooms that were also used in the "Kisei" shogi tournament. There are also special Japanese-style rooms with small gardens, two adjacent Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths, and independent guest cottages building that was relocated from an old house, all with different styles. We bathed in the large bath and open-air bath made of ancient cypress. We enjoyed traditional Japanese cuisine, created with delicate techniques and a heart that cherishes the beauty of nature. The local Niigata sake was also delicious, and we had a luxurious time.
