A hotel in Zao Onsen famous for its open-air baths
I'll be spending the night at Zao Onsen while sightseeing in Yamagata Prefecture. I'd like to relax in an open-air bath, so please let me know of any recommended inns that have good bath facilities.

- There are two large public baths. The "Hyakuhachiho" sulfur spring independent guest cottages bath is located right in front of the building, and the "Shirakaba no Yu" large public bath is located inside the building. The "independent guest cottages" is a hot spring, and the "Shirakaba no Yu" is not, but the former is open until 11pm and the latter is open 24 hours a day. Speaking only of the open-air baths, the open-air bath at independent guest cottages bath is a sulfur spring, so if you like it, it's better to go in early. The large public bath at Shirakaba no Yu and the two open-air baths are both open 24 hours a day. There is also a sauna in the building, which is open until 9pm. Dinner is a Japanese banquet with seasonal dishes using ingredients according to the season, and breakfast is Buffet. It is a combination of healthy Buffet dishes that are gentle on the morning.Shinryuken's answer (Posted on:2022/3/ 3)

A hotel where you can relax in an open-air bath at Zao Onsen
- This inn is located in a quiet forest and lakeside area of Zao Onsen. You can enjoy the hot springs, famous for their weak alkaline mineral springs, in the open-air bath and the large bath with large windows, where you can feel the changing seasons of Zao. As for the food, you can eat kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )that incorporates plenty of seasonal produce. The finest Yamagata beef used in the cuisine is particularly delicious.うまき's answer (Posted on:2021/4/ 1)

Relax in the open-air bath with Breathtaking view at Zao Shiki Hotel
- If you want to enjoy an open-air bath at Zao Onsen, we recommend this inn. The open-air bath, made of stone in a separate building of the hotel, offers a magnificent view of the mountains, and is a milky white natural hot spring with good quality water. You can enjoy the weak alkaline mineral spring water in a bright and open large bath featuring large windows. For dinner, the main dish is teppanyaki made with specially selected local Yamagata beef.nanochip's answer (Posted on:2020/10/30)
