This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a natural 100% natural hot spring in Zao Onsen, Yamagata Prefecture, a famous hot spring in the Tohoku region. The rooms were calming Japanese-style rooms, so we were able to relax. The food was delicious, with juicy Yamagata beef and dishes made with local rice and ingredients such as "Haenuki" and "Tsuyahime". We also had Zao beef steak. The hot spring has three private baths, so it is recommended for family stays. The indoor bath is also spacious.ウイングチップ's answer (Posted on:2016/3/20)

How about Matsushima in Miyagi Prefecture, which is well known as one of the famous tourist destinations in Tohoku? This is a recommended inn among the inns in Matsushima, especially because you can see a beautiful garden and a panoramic view of Matsushima from your room. I stayed with my parents, and both they and I were satisfied with the hot springs, the food, and the service of the staff.はな's answer (Posted on:2016/4/ 9)

The Japanese-style room with a foot bath was nice.
- There was a foot bath in the guest room, so I was able to relax while looking at the mountain village scenery. As you can imagine from the smell of sulfur around the inn, the quality of the hot spring water is excellent. We had breakfast and dinner at the buffet, and were very satisfied with the variety of dishes at dinner. There was a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, and the melon dessert was very sweet. I think both adults and children will be satisfied.ちちさち's answer (Posted on:2016/4/ 6)

Feel the Japanese atmosphere at Ginzan Onsen
- Ginzan Onsen is a place where you can feel the Japanese atmosphere. This place is a little independent guest cottages from the Ginzan Onsen scenery that you often see in photos, but I recommend it from the viewpoint of comfort, such as size and facilities. There are two indoor baths in particular, both of which have a nice old-fashioned atmosphere. You can also use the baths at the sister hotel "Ginzanso" for free. It is within walking distance to the center of the hot spring town.おかか99's answer (Posted on:2016/3/20)

How about Sakunami Onsen in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture? Iwamatsu Ryokan (Japanese inn) looks like a fine hotel, but there is also an old staircase leading down to the open-air bath. You can bathe in the open-air bath while looking at the mountain stream. You can enjoy the hot springs in the nature. Depending on the plan, you can have meals in your room. I chose Buffet, but the food was mainly Japanese and there was a corner with local cuisine. If you take the train, there is a round-trip shuttle from Sakunami Station.まなな's answer (Posted on:2016/3/21)
