  • The Quintessential Japanese Ryokan with a Wonderful Traditional

  • Enjoy a luxurious stay at this 160-year-old Ryokan (Japanese inn)

  • This is a long-established luxury Ryokan (Japanese inn) that was founded 160 years ago, and has a very nice atmosphere with a purely Japanese design both inside and out. You are sure to be able to relax and unwind. You can enjoy the hot springs in a cypress bathtub while looking out at the garden. It feels great. The meals are kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients, which are a feast for the eyes and a feast for the taste, making for a truly luxurious experience.

  • The attentive hospitality that only a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) can offer is also an attraction.

  • A hotel in Kinosaki with natural hot spring water.

  • I recommend Nishimuraya in Kinosaki Onsen, Hyogo Prefecture. It is a long-established inn that was founded 160 years ago. The rooms are Japanese-style rooms with two floors, about 12 tatami mats in size, and have a wide veranda. In winter, the main meal is Matsuba crab. There are baths with various atmospheres, such as a large bath filled with the scent of wood and a Japanese-style open-air bath.

  • I went to Kinosaki Onsen with my father to give back to the area. It's a recommended hot spring inn, although it's a little on the expensive side.

  • This is an inn in Kinosaki Onsen where you can enjoy relaxing in-room dining in a Japanese-style room.

  • This 160-year-old Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Kinosaki Onsen has a total of 34 rooms. The lobby lounge here also has books about the history of Tajima and art books. You can also enjoy the hot springs in the open-air gazebo-style bath overlooking the beautiful Japanese garden, or in the large bath with the scent of wood. As for meals, you can dine on kaiseki kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal local ingredients such as Tajima beef and Matsuba crab in your room.

  • Nishimuraya Honkan, where my hot spring-loving father will be pleased

  • This is a long-established hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) founded in the Ansei period of the Edo period, famous for Kinosaki Onsen. You can enjoy the hot springs in the large bath "Yoshi no Yu" where the scent of wood wafts through the air, and the open-air rock bath "Fuku no Yu" in the style of a gazebo, which is filled with a sense of openness and a bamboo forest garden. Bathing while watching the Japanese garden change with the seasons will refresh your body and mind. The guest rooms are designed to surround the well-maintained Japanese garden. For dinner, you can enjoy a luxurious kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )featuring seasonal ingredients from Tajima, such as Matsuba crab and Tajima beef.

  • I visit every December.

  • This is a relaxing Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn). The main attraction of Kinosaki Onsen is the soto-yu (public bathhouses), but you can enjoy the indoor baths here as well. There are rooms with outdoor baths, but Kinosaki Onsen has a small amount of hot water and does not have a spring source. The Hon Nama Kani Zukushi includes so many tagged crabs that you can't eat them all. If you're lucky, you can enjoy the snowy scenery in the garden.

  • The wooden open-air bath is very tasteful.

  • As the best traditional Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Sanin, this is a very tasteful hot spring inn. There is an indoor bath and an open-air bath made of cypress, both of which have a lovely atmosphere. Depending on your budget, you can stay in kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with an open-air bath and enjoy a relaxing private bath. You can also receive a massage after bathing. Dinner is a kaiseki meal made with local seasonal ingredients, and until the end of March there are plans such as a "crab-filled" plan featuring Matsuba crab and a plan where you can savor "Tsuyama crab and aged Tajima beef."

  • This inn is also friendly to elderly guests. It has rooms with open-air baths and is a Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) with the dignity that only a long-established inn can have. You can stay elegantly in the quiet nature. The food is also breathtakingly beautiful, with seasonal kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ). The Japanese garden and surrounding scenery are also wonderful.

The Japanese breakfast uses local ingredients such as Stork rice.

  • There are three types of large baths, each of which was very comfortable. The food was kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )incorporated many carefully selected seasonal winter ingredients. It depends on the season, but when we went, we enjoyed tagged local Matsuba crabs that were landed at the local ports of Tsuiyama, Shibayama, and Kasumi.
