A Heartwarming Local Meal Around the Traditional Irori Hearth
- For a solo trip in a peaceful atmosphere, I recommend "Honke Bankyu."
The inn's greatest charm is the experience of gathering around the irori—the traditional sunken hearth—to enjoy a local meal. The river fish grilled over crackling charcoal and the bounty of the local mountains are absolutely delicious.
Even when dining alone, the warm, communal atmosphere is sure to put you at ease. It's the perfect choice for anyone looking for a rustic and heartwarming meal, rather than a luxurious, formal dinner. Relax with delicious yuba and the friendly landlady
- The rooms are purely Japanese style, reminiscent of my grandmother's house. The baths are available for private use in each room until 8 p.m. 1 person But you can take your time and relax in the bath. After 8pm, it becomes a communal bath. The food is also typical of Nikko, yuba! The freshly made yuba is really delicious and I thought it was good for the body. There are not many guest rooms, so I recommend it as a place to spend a quiet time.たんぼの中's answer (Posted on:2019/4/14)
