  • Nozawa Onsen Ryokan Sakaya
  • Nozawa Onsen | Surrounded by the stars! A hot spring inn with a wonderful open-air bath

married couple and I are going to Nozawa Onsen. I would like to know if there is a hotel with an open-air bath where you can enjoy a beautiful starry sky. I would be happy if I could eat delicious Japanese food at night.

Nozawa Onsen Ryokan Sakaya

9329, Toyosato, Nozawaonsen-mura Shimotakai-Gun

  • There is a large open-air bath without a roof.

  • This is a relatively large hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Nozawa Onsen town. It has an indoor bath built in traditional bathhouse style by a palace carpenter. The open-air bath adjacent to the large bath is spacious, and at night you can see the stars. You can enjoy Shinshu original Japanese cuisine, mainly using local mountain delicacies and mushrooms.

  • This is highly recommended as the best inn for palace carpenters in Nozawa Onsen.

  • From the outside, it doesn't have a particularly special impression, but as soon as you enter the much talked about large public bath, you will be overwhelmed by the beauty of the wooden architecture, which is said to have been built by a master carpenter. The view from the open-air bath adjacent to the large public bath is picturesque during the day, and at night, the starry sky is beautiful to watch leisurely. The sauna is also right next to the open-air bath, and when you emerge from the sauna drenched in sweat, the open-air cold bath is right in front of you. I think it's a wonderful flow of movement. All your stress will disappear in an instant. In fact, there are many soto-yu (public bathhouses) around, and at first I was planning to take a tour of the soto-yu (public bathhouses) baths, but I was so hooked on the baths here that I didn't go anywhere. The Japanese multi-course meals and set meals for both breakfast and dinner were so satisfying that I was full to the brim.

  • Relax in the open-air bath while gazing at the starry sky

  • There is an open-air bath where you can relax under the blue sky during the day and the starry sky at night. The large bath is also luxuriously filled with hot spring water from the hotel's own natural hot spring. For dinner, you can enjoy original Shinshu Japanese cuisine made with local ingredients.
