  • Ryotei Yamanoi Hotel
  • Tamatsukuri Onsen | What is the best place to stay for a two-day, one-night trip with your boyfriend?

Our budget is 20,000 yen per person. We would like to stay in a hotel with an open-air bath, but are there any hotels you would recommend for couples?

Ryotei Yamanoi Hotel

1042 Tamayu-cho Tamatsukuri, Matsue-shi

  • A long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Tamatsukuri Onsen, Furuyu

  • This is one of the best Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Tamatsukuri Onsen, and is a magnificent building built on the banks of the Tamayu River that runs through the hot spring town. The open-air garden bath has a calming atmosphere, and the hot spring is so wonderful that you will want to go back again and again. The food served is a lavish selection of seafood from the Sea of Japan. When making a reservation, you can choose whether to eat in your room or at the restaurant.

  • A hotel near Tamasakuyu Shrine with an open-air bath

  • There is an open-air bath where the water flows from deep in the bamboo forest. I was able to relax thoroughly in the quaint space. Some plans include in-room dining, but not all do. From my room at Kachotei, I could see the torii gate of Tamasakuyu Shrine, which is popular among women. It is a short walk to Tamasakuyu Shrine and a few minutes walk from the center of Tamatsukuri Onsen, and the first bus stop for buses to Matsue is next door, so it was very convenient.
