  • What are the best places to stay in Awara Onsen for solo travelers?

I'm going to Awara Onsen by myself, so please let me know your recommended accommodation. I'd like to have meals in my room if possible. Also, I'd like a good accommodation that's not too cheap.

Seiryukaku Ryokan

1-102, Nishionsen, Awara

  • In-room dining is available, so even single diners can stay here.

  • This is a popular hotel where I stayed two years ago. They serve meals in the room, so you can stay even if you're alone. It's also budget-friendly, so it's just within the budget if you're on a weekday. The room was very clean, the service was polite, and I had a pleasant stay. They also have a wide variety of local Fukui sake, which went well with the food.

Awara Onsen Mimatsu

26-10 Funatsu, Arawa-shi

  • A luxury hotel where you can have an extraordinary experience

  • If you are traveling alone and don't want to worry about what others think, this Ryokan (Japanese inn) is perfect. That is because in-room dining is the norm, and many of the rooms have their own open-air bath. There are also standard Japanese-style rooms, but this Ryokan (Japanese inn) 's open-air bath is filled with hot spring water and can be used freely 24 hours a day, so if you're going to stay, I recommend getting a room with an open-air bath. The price is a little high, but considering the delicious food and hospitality, it is very reasonable. The corridor garden is well maintained and very worth seeing.

Haiya

2-205 Onsen, Awara-shi

  • Awara Onsen inn with rooms with open-air baths and in-room dining

  • This is an inn in Awara Onsen where the rooms have open-air baths and meals are served in the room. The open-air baths in the rooms are spacious, so you can enjoy the hot springs at your leisure. The open-air baths and private baths in the building are also spacious and comfortable. There is also a bedrock bath. If it is crab season, you can eat as much as you like, mainly crab.

Grandia Housen

  • If you want to experience luxury in Ashihara, this is the place to go.

  • Although the price is a little high, the hot spring is comfortable, and you can soak in various baths, so you can do Visiting hot springs just at this hotel. The facilities and services are also solid, and there are rooms with open-air baths. The modern Japanese-style rooms are also recommended. The meals are delicious and luxurious, and you can taste local Fukui cuisine. In-room dining is also available. So, it is no problem for solo travelers. The location is a little bit of a walk from the center of the hot spring, but it is within walking distance of Awara Yunomachi Station on the Echizen Railway. A free shuttle bus is also available from JR Awara Onsen Station. This is a recommended hotel where you can enjoy a little luxury in Awara and can be accommodated even by yourself.
