  • Twin Leaves Hotel Izumo
  • Any hotel recommendations near Izumo Taisha Shrine for a solo female traveler?

I'm planning my first solo trip to Japan and will be visiting the Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine in Shimane Prefecture. I'm looking for a clean and comfortable hotel within Izumo City that's great for a solo female traveler. My budget is under 15,000 JPY per night. I would be grateful for any recommendations!

Twin Leaves Hotel Izumo

Ekikitamachi 4-1

  • A Super Convenient and Clean Hotel Connected to the Station

  • You'll feel at ease knowing the hotel is just a 30-second walk from Izumoshi Station, so there's no chance of getting lost, even on a first-time solo trip. The bus stop for Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine is right in front, making it the perfect base for sightseeing. The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. I especially loved the spacious and spotless bathroom; it was so relaxing. Another huge plus for female travelers is the amenity bar in the lobby, stocked with things like makeup remover and skin toner. It's a really nice touch!

  • The perfect hotel for touring Izumo Taisha Shrine

  • Considering the accessibility, I recommend "Twin Leaves Hotel Izumo". It seems that they place importance on cleanliness, and as far as I stayed here, it was well-cleaned in every corner. The breakfast Buffet had a wide variety and everything was delicious.

  • Directly connected to JR Izumoshi Station and Ichibata Electric Railway Izumoshi Station

  • Izumo Taisha Shrine can be reached by taking the Ichibata Electric Railway from Izumoshi Station to Izumo Taisha-mae Station via Kawato Station, so if you stay at this hotel, you will feel very safe. It is a clean and reasonably sized hotel, so even women traveling alone are welcome. You can have dinner at the hotel, or there are many restaurants to eat outside, as it is in front of the station.

  • This city hotel is adjacent to Izumo Station.

  • The famous Ichibata Group in the Izumo region has a department store and hotel in the same building, and it is conveniently located for transfers on the Ichibata Electric Railway and Ichibata Bus. We recommend dining at the restaurant and enjoying the view from the upper floors. If you request a room on the upper floors facing Izumo Taisha Shrine, you can enjoy a wonderful evening view that is typical of the land of clouds, and a refreshing sky. Access to Izumo Taisha Shrine is convenient, as you can use the nearby Izumoshi Station.

  • This is a safe hotel even for women traveling alone.

  • How about this hotel in front of Izumo Station? I think it's the cleanest hotel around the station. It's run by the Ichibata Electric Railway Group, and gives the impression of being a slightly better hotel in the countryside. It may not be as good as a high-class hotel in the city, but it is clean enough. It had a safe atmosphere even for women traveling alone. You can check in right outside the ticket gate (there seems to be a direct exit), so you can check in without getting wet even in bad weather. I think a single room was around 8,000 to 10,000 yen. I think it will be within your budget even during the Kamiarizuki (the month when gods from all over Japan gather in Izumo) from October to November.

  • Adjacent to JR Izumo Station

  • It is conveniently located next to JR Izumo Station and opposite the bus terminal, the base for sightseeing in Izumo. There is also a ladies' bedroom and the hotel is fully equipped with amenities from the luxury beauty salon "POLA," making it a great hotel for women.
