Otaru, Hokkaido: Cheap hotels recommended for solo travelers
Can you recommend a cheap hotel for a solo traveler to Otaru? I'd prefer a simple hotel that's clean and tidy.
9Hotel rankings chosen by people
- The hotel is close to the station, so you won't have any trouble getting lost. It's in a great location for sightseeing in Otaru. The hotel offers a Buffet breakfast of Japanese and Western cuisine, including seafood bowls and other Hokkaido delicacies, and free Yonakisoba (noodles sold by a hawker at night) are served at night. High-speed internet connection is also free. Enjoy the natural hot springs.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 4)

Hotels with easy access to tourist attractions
- It's a 6-7 minute walk from JR Otaru Station, so it's easy to get to Sapporo. You can walk to Otaru Canal, a tourist spot in Otaru, in less than 10 minutes. The hotel's interior and facilities look old, but the cleaning was good and the room was clean.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 4)

Directly connected to the station! A beautiful hotel with a great view.

It is connected to Otaru Chikko Station by a deck, so it is very accessible. If you walk along the national highway, you can reach the Otaru Canal in about 20 minutes. The hotel itself also has a commercial facility, so if you are eating alone, you can buy food at the supermarket. Since it is built along the Otaru Port, if you choose a room facing the sea, the view of the arena is the best. I think it was around 8,000 yen per night on a weekday. The room was definitely clean.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/6/ 4)
