  • Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo
  • Ranking of recommended budget hotels for visiting shrines and temples in Kyoto

I'm going to Kyoto with a friend for two nights to visit the temples and shrines. We're thinking of spending around 8,000 yen per person per night. What kind of accommodation would you recommend?

Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo

17 Nishikujo-Inmachi Minami-ku

  • The closest hotel to JR Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit (Shinkansen Exit)

  • This hotel is easily accessible, just a few minutes walk from JR Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit after getting off the Shinkansen. The twin rooms in the main building are inexpensive but a bit small, so if you splurge a little and get a South Wing room, you'll enjoy a comfortable space of about 23 square meters. If you use the one-day free pass for the subway and city bus, you can visit most of the temples and shrines in the city at a low cost. It is also convenient that reception desk will store your luggage after you check out.

  • Kyoto Station is right in front of the hotel, so it's convenient to go anywhere.

  • If you're staying in Kyoto for two nights and planning to get around the city, a good location is important. This hotel is located right in front of the Kyoto Station Hachijo Exit. Using Kyoto Station as your starting point, you can use buses and subways to enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto to your heart's content. As it is part of a famous hotel chain, you don't need to worry about the quality of the service.
