• Although it is not an extremely cheap hotel, I recommend JR Hotel Yakushima. The appeal of this hotel is the spectacular ocean Breathtaking view. Since it is built on the tip of a cape, you can enjoy a panoramic view. The rooms and the building are well-maintained and clean. It is a 40-minute bus ride from Yakushima Airport, and a 25-minute bus ride from Awa Port, so you can get there without a car.

• A standard business hotel. I think this is a good balance between price and service in Yakushima. Many of the rooms have an ocean view. For meals, you can enjoy Yakushima ingredients and the currently popular game dishes. It is conveniently located within a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport, or right at the Chuo bus stop if you take the bus.
