• I recommend the Tamatsukuri International Hotel, the only hotel around Lake Shinji that draws its hot spring water from Tamatsukuri Onsen. This hotel is about 1 km away from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station in a straight line. It takes just one meter by taxi.

• This hotel offers stunning, panoramic views of Lake Shinji right from your room! The entire wall facing the lake is made of glass, so the moment you step into your room, you're greeted by the beautiful scenery. When I stayed there, I arrived quite late, but the staff were incredibly welcoming and even carried my luggage to my room. What really impressed me was how the nakai-san (room attendant) proactively replaced my tea with a fresh cup when they came to lay out the futon. It's those little touches that really make a stay special! While the hotel might show its age a bit, it's impeccably clean, and the baths and changing rooms are well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable experience.
