• I recommend the Tamatsukuri International Hotel, the only hotel around Lake Shinji that draws its hot spring water from Tamatsukuri Onsen. This hotel is about 1 km away from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station in a straight line. It takes just one meter by taxi.

• The room had a full-length glass window facing Lake Shinji, so you could see the lake as soon as you entered. I arrived late, but they greeted me politely, carried my luggage to my room, and replaced the tea I was drinking in the room with new tea just as I was laying out my futon, so I felt they were treating me well. The inn is old, but it was clean, and the bath and changing room were thoroughly cleaned.
