Where Should You Stay for the Chichibu Night Festival? A Guide to the Best Hotels Nearby
I'm hoping to go to the Chichibu Night Festival in Saitama. I'd really like to stay somewhere close to the festival, but I don't know the area at all. Are there any recommended places to stay nearby that are convenient for getting to the site?

If you're visiting for the Chichibu Night Festival, Hotel Route Inn Grand Chichibu is a convenient and highly recommended choice. As a new hotel that opened in 2023, its main appeal is that it's within walking distance of the Chichibu Shrine area, the festival's main venue. It's also perfect for those traveling by train, as it's only about a 6-minute walk from Chichibu Station on the Chichibu Railway. This is one of the chain's higher-grade "Grand" hotels, offering premium services, including a natural hot spring.

Excellent Access, Just a 3-Minute Walk from Seibu-Chichibu Station
- The hotel's greatest appeal is its excellent accessibility—it's just a 3-minute walk from Seibu-Chichibu Station. Of course, the main festival venue is also within walking distance. While the hotel does not have its own large public bath, the "Seibu-Chichibu Ekimae Onsen: Matsuri no Yu," a large hot spring complex, is located at the station. As a well-known hotel chain, you can expect consistent quality in room cleanliness and service, and the breakfast is very popular as well.モモンガ's answer (Posted on:2025/9/26)

A Highly Recommended Inn with a Wonderful Onsen
- My family and I stayed here on a trip to see the nature of Chichibu in the spring. While the rooms feel a bit dated, they are kept very clean. The view of the greenery from the window and the sound of the river are soothing and truly help you unwind. The services, such as yukata rentals, are also plentiful. The onsen (hot spring) is available 24 hours a day and was so clean and comfortable that we used it many times. We highly recommend it.

Peace of Mind with a Shuttle Service to the Nearest Station
-
If you want to relax in a hot spring and soothe your tired muscles after enjoying the Chichibu Night Festival, "Yuno-yado Wado" is highly recommended. Although it is located a little way from the center of the festival, there is no need to worry about transportation, as a free shuttle service is available from the nearest station and even from Seibu-Chichibu Station. Guests who book a specific festival-day plan can also be picked up from the nearest station until the last train. This luxurious onsen inn allows you to deeply warm your body, tired from the December cold, in the historic Wado Kosen hot spring.オコジョ's answer (Posted on:2025/9/26)

Looking for a place with great access to the Chichibu Night Festival? "Machiju Kesshitsu Chichibu-juku" is a wonderful option. The guest rooms are actually entire renovated traditional houses for private rental, scattered throughout the central festival area, offering unbeatable access to the main venues. For bathing, in addition to the hinoki cypress bath in each house, there is also a private, reservable bathhouse complete with a large tub and a sauna. This is the perfect inn to enjoy both the lively atmosphere of the festival and a peaceful, relaxing stay.モモンガ's answer (Posted on:2025/9/26)

A Comfortable and Convenient Hotel Renovated from Studio Apartments
- This hotel is in a convenient location, an 8-minute walk from Ohanabatake Station and a 10-minute walk from Seibu-Chichibu Station. The layout feels like a converted studio apartment building, offering plenty of privacy. It's also popular for long-term stays, as each room comes fully equipped with a kitchen and a microwave. While it's about a 20-minute walk to Chichibu Shrine, we feel this is a pleasant distance that allows you to enjoy the festival atmosphere along the way.モモンガ's answer (Posted on:2025/9/26)

Many Regulars Book a Year in Advance for the Chichibu Night Festival.
- Worrying about the journey back after a long day at the festival is understandable. Considering the walk back from the main venue, this hotel is in an ideal location. Be sure to visit Chichibu Shrine, where the festival's floats (yatai) are preserved; you can see them up close there. For a comfortable round trip, using the Limited Express Red Arrow train is a convenient option.ユーザー's answer (Posted on:2014/11/ 4)

I think you'll have a comfortable stay thanks to its excellent location, just a 1-minute walk from Chichibu Station. It's a comfortable space with a great set of amenities, including free parking, a coin laundry, and Wi-Fi, making it a highly recommended choice. The single rooms are also affordable, and I believe it provides good access for the night festival as well.はがせとうち's answer (Posted on:2023/12/ 4)
