This is a hotel that serves authentic Japanese cuisine.
-
If you want to eat proper Japanese food, this hotel is recommended. The authentic Japanese banquet course alone is very satisfying and filling. There are also several special order dishes, and you can add more Japanese-style dishes such as boat-shaped platters and tempura! From the open-air bath called "Town Bath," you can get a panoramic view of the open scenery, including the white sand beach and the sea. There are also other open-air baths and private baths with different atmospheres, so you can enjoy a light Visiting hot springs experience within the hotel.

Homely hospitality and hot spring therapy
-
This is a hot spring inn where you can feel the warm hospitality that is so typical of Japan. It is a little independent guest cottages from the busy areas and the prices are reasonable, so it is recommended for long-term stays. As you would expect from a hot spring inn, your skin will be smooth after bathing and you can experience the good quality of the spring. The panoramic bath 60m above sea level offers a truly Breathtaking view!

The name of the inn is "Bijintei"!
-
If that's what you're looking for, how about going to "Bijintei"? The baths aren't very large, but you can enjoy the moisturizing Bijin-no-yu (a hot spring of beauty). They also serve game dishes. They even have a Kumano beef course. Please consider this as one of your options.

You can't go wrong with the popular Marriott Hotel
-
As this is a famous Marriott hotel, it offers a luxurious accommodation experience. At the large hot spring bath on the top floor, you can enjoy a bath while looking at Breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. We recommend you to see the beautiful and typically Japanese sunrises and sunsets. There are plenty of facilities on-site, including a pool, so you can enjoy your time outside of the hot springs, which are the main attraction.

You can experience an open-air bath on the riverbank
-
I stayed here while walking the Kumano Kodo trail. Both the open-air bath in the room and the open-air bath by the river were charming and wonderful. The open-air bath by the river in particular offers a sense of comfort and luxury that can only be experienced here. Outside of winter, you can rent a bathing suit and a shovel and dig your own riverside open-air bath.

A stylish inn along an old road
-
It is a small inn with 8 rooms along the Kumano Kodo trail. However, it has both Japanese-style and Western-style rooms, each with a luxurious interior and construction that is not inferior to a large hotel. It is like a private lodging version of a designer hotel. There is also an open-air bath, which is perfect for relaxing your body after climbing up and down the stairs. It is said that it uses natural hot spring water. You can feel the breath of Kumano very comfortably.

You can visit the Kumano Kodo trail and Kiwa-cho in Kumano City.
-
I recommend Iruka Onsen in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. We stopped here on the way to Hongu-michi, one of the Kumano Kodo trails. The large public bath was spacious, and the view of the Kitayama River from the open-air bath was Breathtaking view. There was also a sauna and a cold bath, so it was well-equipped. There were only mountains and rivers in the surrounding area, so it was very quiet and I was able to relax in the nature. The Japanese-style room was spacious and relaxing. The food was made with ingredients from Mie, and dinner was kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )allowed you to enjoy the colors of the season, so I was able to enjoy a luxury that I don't usually get to experience. The Japanese set meal for breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. The self-service coffee was also good.

A charming inn that lets you feel history
-
This is an inn in Yunomine Onsen, which is said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan. The noble presence of the inn makes you feel its history. The cypress bath was very comfortable and helped me to relax after a long day. There is a steam bath that you might want to call the original sauna, a rare experience that is only found in a few places in Japan. The food was also delicious and very satisfying. It was very quiet at night, and I was able to sleep well.

A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) with 100% natural hot springs
-
All rooms are Japanese-style, so you can experience a Japanese atmosphere. It's a traditional retro Ryokan (Japanese inn), so there's nothing new about it, but it's clean and the staff are friendly, so I think it will be a good memory. There is no large public bath, only private hot springs, so you can bathe without worrying about being seen by others, which is another recommended point. All you have to do is tell them the time you want to use it when you check in, so even first-time users shouldn't have any problems. There is also a ping pong table.
