This is a long-established, very large hotel. It was the Japanese-style room I wanted, overlooking the Kinugawa River. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view. Dinner was Buffet of Shabu Shabu（Japanese hotpot）and obanzai. It was healthy and delicious. The rice was very shiny and tasty. There were many types of tempura, and they were all warm. I tried all of them and they were all delicious.

There is a very cute cat landlady called Mai-chan. There are even goods and accommodation plans named after her. Mai-chan is friendly and greeted us at reception desk. There are many cute services such as cute meals with meat and cakes with paw prints on them. It might be a good idea to take your girlfriend who loves cats on a hot spring trip. Although the plans featuring the cat landlady stand out, there is also a spacious open-air bath, and the facilities are quite good for a hot spring inn.

This inn is close to Kinugawa Onsen Station and has good access. It is also located in a place where you can see the Kinugawa valley. There are many types of bathtubs, and there is also a jacuzzi and sauna, so even bath lovers will be satisfied. The rooms are elegant and relaxing Japanese-style rooms, so we think it will meet your needs.

This inn is surrounded by nature, so you can experience each season up close. From the wooden deck terrace of the room, you can look down on the surface of the Kinugawa River, which shines a jade green depending on the weather. There are two types of rooms: a Japanese-Western style and a Japanese-style room only, and both are very beautifully designed.

There is a beautiful mascot cat! The fluffy "Fukuko" is very curious and appears unexpectedly, so you're likely to encounter her. "Rin" is shy and not so easy to encounter, but I read a traveler's blog and she might not be around anymore... I didn't visit mainly for the cats, but I was glad that she came by. I was told that you can't always interact with her. The hot springs 100% natural hot spring, were great, and the rooms were clean!

The view from the room overlooking Mt. Yufu is very beautiful. The room was a spacious Japanese and Western room with a high-quality Japanese modern atmosphere. I was able to enjoy a luxurious time sitting on the sofa and looking at Mt. Yufu. The private open-air bath is spacious and can be relaxed even with two people. The meal is a kaiseki meal where you can enjoy delicious local ingredients.

Hotel Kinugawa Gyoen has the only indoor tatami bath in Kinugawa Onsen, and the tatami room space allows you to enjoy a Japanese atmosphere while bathing in the hot spring. In addition, the hotel boasts an open-air bath with a dignified view overlooking the Kinugawa River. You can also feel the seasonal atmosphere of Kinugawa from the rooms, so it is recommended if you want to stay in a traditional Japanese-style room.

It's convenient because you can return to your room when you're waiting for the cats to come. The Japanese-style rooms are simple but cat-themed, with cat clocks and cushions. This inn is located in a quiet place independent guest cottages from the tourist attractions of Yufuin. When you check in, you are sent off with "Welcome back" and when you check out, you are sent off with "See you". It feels like you are back in your second home. They will lay out your futon for you and you can spend a luxurious time doing nothing. The vegetable stew is excellent. The chopsticks are handmade and surprisingly light and fit your hand well. We stayed in independent guest cottages without a bath, so it was a bit difficult to go to the bath. For some reason, it rains when you go to Yufuin. I have stayed at this inn about five times. Outside the hotel, it is best to make a reservation for the Yufuin gourmet "P Roll" by the day before. For lunch, I recommend "Budoya". Or you can go to Beppu and eat Seki Aji or Seki Saba at "Heike"?
