682 Yumoto, Hakone-machi, Ashigara-shimogun

  • You can enjoy the sauna and the open-air bath with a view of nature.

  • The hot springs include an open-air bath, an indoor bath, and a regular sauna and a mist sauna. The cold bath is spring water, so it's very cold. You can relax in the open-air bath while looking at the natural scenery of the Hakone mountains. There is also a jacuzzi, so you can warm up and relax your body. By the way, you can also drink Oropo at the restaurant.

1300-34 Gora, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun

  • A Hakone inn where you can enjoy an open-air bath and sauna during the day

  • This is a Hakone Gora Onsen inn that allows day use and allows you to enjoy an open-air bath and sauna. The rooms come with an open-air bath, so you can bathe in the bath as much as you like and then rest in your room. For meals, you can choose between kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with plenty of seasonal ingredients, or Japanese beef Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)and sushi.

597 Yumoto, Hakone, Ashigarashimo District

  • This is Ryokan (Japanese inn) with a wonderful open-air bath.

  • This is a large Ryokan (Japanese inn) located at the end of a bridge across the Yumoto shopping street from Hakone Yumoto Station. They run a steakhouse, and if you have lunch there, the bath fee is half price, but I highly recommend the day-use bath plan that includes meals. As you would expect from a large Ryokan (Japanese inn), the baths are spacious! Both the indoor bath and the open-air bath, both made entirely of cypress, are spacious and relaxing. I stayed here with five friends, and we really liked how the room was spacious. Even if we stayed at another hotel, we would want to come just to take a bath with meals included. Of course, you can just drop in without meals!

  • A hotel that exceeds expectations

  • This is one of the more affordable hotels in Arima Onsen. Despite the low price, the breakfast and dinner meals are very delicious. Although it is not luxurious, the relaxing rooms and clean large public baths are popular. We recommend this hotel as it will exceed your expectations.

  • Indulge in 6 Types of Baths and a Sauna for Around ¥20,000 – Perfect for Solo Travelers!

  • Ginsen, called "Toyoju no Yu," is pumped into six baths, a full-body bath, Lying-down bath utase-yu(a stream of hot water falling down on your shoulders like a small waterfall), a bubble bath, a walking bath, and a pressure bath. There is also an infrared sauna. There are several kaiseki courses available, ranging from a course with yellowtail Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)-shabu as the main dish to black-haired wagyu steak, black-Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot), and kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ). Arima Onsen Station is a 12-minute walk away, and the hot spring town is close by. A plan with only breakfast costs less than 10,000 yen, so in that case you could have dinner in the hot spring town.

  • It's like a bath theme park!

  • It's a large hotel with a relaxed atmosphere that makes it perfect for trips with family, friends, or club members. The baths are very spacious and the open-air baths have great views, so it's recommended if you want to enjoy a hot spring to the fullest!

  • There is a plan that allows you to use a private room for day trips.

  • Dinner is included and you can rest in your room. I think it is cheaper than other luxury hotels for a plan where you can rest in a private room. It is a little independent guest cottages from Hakone Yumoto Station, but it is about 5 minutes by 100 yen bus. Since it is a hotel of the same chain as Hotel Okada, there is also a plan to use the private rooms of "Yunosato Okada" for day trips, so if you want to enjoy the hot spring atmosphere quickly, I recommend that.

256-1 Yumoto Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun

  • I used the lunch buffet plan.

  • This day trip plan includes a lunch buffet, so you can enjoy both the hot springs and meals. The day trip baths are available from 12:00 to 18:00, so enjoy the buffet first. There is a live kitchen, so you can enjoy freshly fried and grilled food. After that, head to the hot springs. Bath towels and face towels are prepared at reception desk. You can relax in the open-air bath while looking at the trees, and the sauna in the indoor bath is also very pleasant.

For meals, we recommend the popular "Local Fish Sammai Kamameshi Zen" + B-class gourmet "Ajiro Squid Menchi", seafood rice pot & sashimi & grilled fish & boiled fish & fried food (Ajiro Squid Menchi). Please note that there are set times for the dining area, so be sure to check in advance.

  • Quiet Hotel with a Delicious Breakfast Included!

  • Their weekday-only plan with check-in after 5 PM and no dinner included offers excellent value. Arima Onsen town boasts many delicious restaurants, so you won't have trouble finding a place to eat even without dinner at the hotel. Of course, you can also dine at the hotel's restaurant if you prefer. The large communal bath was spacious and allowed for a very relaxed soak. You can enjoy both Arima Onsen's "Kinsen" (Golden Spring) and "Ginsen" (Silver Spring) within the hotel, making it fun to explore the different baths. The rooms are calming Japanese-style, offering lovely views from the window. This hotel is exclusively for adults and does not host group tours, ensuring a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. • High-Class Hotel with Affordable Plans Available!

  • I highly recommend "Arima Onsen Ginsuiso Choraku." This luxurious ryokan offers the rare opportunity to enjoy two distinct hot spring qualities within the same establishment: the lithium-ion rich "Kinsen" (Golden Spring) and a radium-rich spring. While it's a high-class hotel, they offer reasonably priced plans, such as room-only options or plans with only a Japanese-style breakfast, if you're not particular about meals. Weekday stays offer even better deals! The open-air bath, surrounded by refreshing oak trees, provides a truly exceptional and healing experience. Additionally, the separate building with a jacuzzi and steam bath further adds to the relaxation, making it an excellent choice for soothing tired bodies.

  • Enjoy Unlimited Access to Taiko-no-Yu!

  • Arima Kirari is conveniently located directly above "Taiko-no-Yu," Arima Onsen's renowned public bath facility. This hotel has recently been renovated, so it's incredibly clean and modern. It's also reasonably priced, and the best part is the unlimited access to Taiko-no-Yu's hot springs! Depending on your plan, you can even access it for free before check-in and after check-out. Parking is also complimentary during these times. The hotel itself boasts a large communal bath with hot springs, truly allowing you to immerse yourself in the onsen experience. They offer various meal plans, making it an excellent cost-performance option in Arima Onsen.  The major highlight here is the unlimited access to "Taiko-no-Yu," which is a significant value add, especially if you love soaking in different baths. The recent renovation and emphasis on cleanliness also appeal to travelers looking for modern comforts. The flexibility with check-in/check-out access and free parking further enhance its value proposition.

  • There is a private open-air bath with a great view.

  • "Aura Tachibana" is a resort Ryokan (Japanese inn) located a 15-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. The inn has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a jet bath, utase-yu(a stream of hot water falling down on your shoulders like a small waterfall), and a sauna. There is also a private open-air bath with a great view, so you can enjoy the hot springs in private. • This Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) with natural hot springs in Hakone offers a panoramic view of the natural surroundings of Hakone from the open-air bath. In autumn, you can enjoy the autumn leaves while bathing, which is highly recommended. • Within walking distance from Hakone Yumoto Station

  • This hotel is located about a 10-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Station, and also offers massage and beauty treatments. They have a wide range of day trip plans, and while most day trip plans at hot spring inns tend to include Japanese cuisine or kaiseki cuisine, I recommend the hot spring lunch set that comes with a Japanese-style beef stew set! They also offer plans to relax in a room with a hot spring bath, so you can indulge in luxury!
