  • This is a small, rustic Ryokan (Japanese inn) that stands on a hill in Atami. • This is a place with great service.

  • This is a relaxing Japanese-style inn surrounded by nature. As it is for elderly people, if you tell the inn, they will give you a room that is easy to move around in. There are four open-air baths surrounded by nature, which are very relaxing. Meals are made with fresh local ingredients, and you can also dine in a private room if you request it when making a reservation.

  • The oldest wooden hot spring inn in Japan!

  • Shima Onsen in Gunma Prefecture is located near the end of a road. It is quiet and has a nice atmosphere, as if you are in another world, cut off from the rest of the world. Among them, this inn has a long history. The "main building" was built in 1691, and the old-fashioned wooden architecture somehow brings with it a sense of nostalgia, overwhelming you no matter where you look, from the exterior to the interior. As for the hot spring, "Genroku no Yu" is a bathhouse with a high ceiling and a slightly Western-style "high-collar" feel that you have never seen anywhere else.

Higashi Kaigancho 9-11

  • This long-established inn has been in business for over 70 years, and has a retro, rustic feel both inside and out!

  • There are two large baths, "Tensei-no-Yu" and "Kaisei-no-Yu". The former has an indoor bath, an open-air bath, a sauna and a cold bath. Meanwhile, the latter has an indoor Lying-down bath, an open-air bath and an open-air reclining bath. The open-air bath is quite elegant, with a cypress bath and a rock bath. Dinner is a kaiseki meal with delicious seafood and mountain produce, but the beef stew is so good that you will drink it all in one go without having time to catch your breath. Breakfast is a Japanese meal, and the Odawara-produced Kinjiro rice is so tasty that you won't be able to stop having second helpings.

  • An inn that is chosen every year in the Hot Spring Awards

  • It is an elegant, clean and relaxing inn that is so relaxing that no matter who you recommend it to, you will not go wrong. It is well-cleaned and decorated with flowers everywhere, making it very gorgeous. Of course, there is an open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water. The meals are what you would call "Nozawa country cuisine," and the specialty "Tori-mawashi-bachi" is so delicious that you will likely become addicted to it. The staff's casual attention to detail is appreciated, and the prices are reasonable, so I recommend it.

Fujiwara 1

  • Relax with delicious yuba and the friendly landlady

  • The rooms are purely Japanese-style, reminiscent of my grandmother's house. The baths are available for private use in each room until 8 p.m., so you can take your time bathing alone. After 8 p.m., the baths are communal. The food is yuba, a Nikko dish! The freshly made yuba was really delicious and I thought it was good for the body. There are not many guest rooms, so I recommend it as a place to stay quietly.

  • A friendly Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Ikaho Onsen with a cypress construction and a sense of history

The building is old, but it is well-cleaned and does not feel out of place. The area around the stone steps of Ikaho is retro, and the combination of Yokotekan and the stone steps street creates a chic retro atmosphere.
