There is also a highland resort in Kurokawa Onsen
Kurokawa Onsen is known for its many traditional inns, but this is a highland resort with a different feel. You can fully enjoy the resort atmosphere while feeling the vast nature of Aso. The building is not entirely Western, but has a modern Japanese design that incorporates the Japanese charm unique to hot spring areas. Breathtaking view of Aso spreads out from the window of the room. The food is a creative kaiseki course meal that looks beautiful and is perfect instagrammable. There is also Breathtaking view from the open-air bath in the large communal bath. At night, you can enjoy the hot springs under a sky full of stars.

This Kurokawa Onsen hotel prides itself on the spectacular scenery from its location 920 meters up on a highland plateau. The lobby itself offers a panoramic vista of the Senomoto Highlands and the five peaks of Mt. Aso. You can enjoy this magnificent view while soaking in the natural hot springs, whether from the incredibly spacious "Zekkei Hana no Yu" open-air bath overlooking the Aso grasslands, the glass-fronted "Senshin no Yu" observation bath, or one of the private baths. The culinary experience also connects you to the land, with kaiseki meals featuring ingredients sourced from Kumamoto and Aso.

How about the Senomoto Kogen Hotel? It is reasonably priced at just over 10,000 yen, including meals. It is located about a 70-minute drive from the Hita IC on the Oita Expressway. At night, you can enjoy the starry sky from the open-air bath. The alkaline simple spring water is effective against muscle pain. For meals, you can enjoy a course meal using seasonal ingredients.

The open-air bath in the middle of nature was amazing.
This inn offers accommodation for around 10,000 yen per person per night, including breakfast. The open-air bath in the middle of nature had a great sense of openness and a great view, and we had a blissful time. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast had a wide variety of options, all of which were carefully prepared and delicious. It's really good value for money, so I'd like to stay here again.

Aso's magnificent scenery and nature are sure instagrammable!
If you want to visit instagrammable spots, I recommend this hotel. The stylish rooms offer a panoramic view of Senomoto Plateau and the Five Peaks of Aso, and the natural scenery is sure to create instagrammable. They also hold a "Starry Sky Walk" every night, where you can enjoy the starry sky and the refreshing breeze of the plateau, a beautiful view of the Milky Way, and a sense of unity with nature. The meal is buffet style, with a variety of dishes including roast beef, local Kumamoto dishes, and Kumamoto sake, so I was able to fully enjoy the delicious food of Kumamoto.
