Kasuien Minami

In front of the lobby is a Japanese garden where we could enjoy tea and sweets and chat with friends. The meal was a carefully selected menu by the head chef. There were many local ingredients, and it was a very luxurious meal for us who don't usually cook for ourselves.

温泉の内湯・露天・展望露天が充実していて、このホテルで湯巡りを楽しめます。全国でも有数の温泉地の良質のお湯を楽しんだあとは、マッサージなどでリフレッシュ。手湯と足湯・大浴場・アロマサロン・足裏サロン・ショップなど滞在中も飽きずに過ごせるようになっています。心と身体に潤いをもたらす施設で、満足度は倍増ですよ。

This inn has a tasteful bath called "Ukifune Uchiyu" also known as Himegami no Yu. We also recommend the observation bath "Tenyu no Yu" on the 9th floor. For dinner, you can enjoy seasonal kaiseki（a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ）in the authentic dining area with an open kitchen. The garden is lit up at night, making it very romantic.

玉造温泉のお湯は美肌と健康に高い効果を持つ名湯と聞いていましたが、湯上り後もポカポカしていて、こちらの宿の湯もとても気持ちが良かったです。お風呂も大浴場で普段の生活では味わえない心地よい空間でした。また、観光もしやすい立地でしたよ。

This is the most recommended inn in Tamatsukuri Onsen. The staff are well trained and it is definitely a high-quality Ryokan (Japanese inn). It doesn't have a flashy atmosphere and is popular with everyone. At first glance it may seem like an ordinary Ryokan (Japanese inn), but it is very comfortable.

The hotel is calming and the food is delicious. The hot spring is quiet, and the open-air bath is on the upper floors, so the view is very good and open. It is located in the center of Tamatsukuri Onsen, so it is convenient for walking around the surrounding area. I only stayed one night for a study group, but it is Ryokan (Japanese inn) I would like to visit again.

If you're looking for a hot spring inn in the Sanin region, I think Tamatsukuri Onsen is the best, and this is one of the long-established inns, with delicious food made with local ingredients and well-equipped facilities. Of course, the hot springs are impeccable, and I recommend this place for family trips.

A free shuttle is available from JR Tamatsukuri Onsen Station with a reservation in advance. There are rooms on the upper floors overlooking Lake Shinji and rooms with 100% natural hot spring. You can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea in the garden lounge in the spacious lobby. The view of the Japanese garden was also very nice. It was lit up at night and looked fantastic. There are several baths so you can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. There are also hand and foot baths that you can easily enjoy.

I recommend "Kasuien Minami" in Tamatsukuri Onsen, a famous hot spring resort in Shimane Prefecture. I previously stayed there during crab season using the crab meal plan, and was satisfied with both the taste and quantity. We ate at the dining area, not in the room. It was a wonderful inn with attention to detail, such as tea service after leaving the hot spring. I would say it is on the high-end side, but since the minimum budget is 100,000 yen per family, it is unfortunately not super high-end enough to fit our budget of about 300,000 yen for three families. However, if you can get a luxurious meal plan, I think you can get as close as possible to your budget. The hot spring was also of very good quality and I was very satisfied.
