You can also enjoy sake and shochu at the welcome bar.
This is a business hotel located very close to the Samurai Ninja Experience Museum Kyoto. The welcome drink included shochu and sake in addition to soft drinks, which were free to enjoy. There was also a large natural hot spring bath, which was alternated between men and women, but I enjoyed it and relaxed. The breakfast had a variety of side dishes and drinks, and the dining area was clean and nice. The room was not too small and felt spacious. It's close to the station, so it's easy to get around, and you can stay here for a reasonable price, so I recommend it.

A hotel with hot springs and a good location in Kyoto city

Maybe it's because you can see Kyoto no Okuribi fires from your hotel room.
It's about 150 meters on foot from Hankyu Shijo Kawaramachi Station, so it's very accessible. You can barely see the Gozan no Okuribi fires from the upper floors.

A hotel near Kawaramachi with convenient transportation
If you want to see a wide range of shrines and temples, I recommend the area along Kawaramachi from Sanjo to Shijo, which has good transport links. There are plenty of train and bus services, and it's the busiest area in Kyoto, so you won't have any trouble finding food or ways to kill time. However, I wouldn't recommend this place if you're coming by car, but if you're coming by train, this hotel is a good choice.
