A hot spring Ryokan (Japanese inn) where you can experience the feeling of being in a hidden hot spring
We recommend Hatcho-no-Yu Ryokan. This is a recommended hotel for those who want to enjoy hiking in nature and experience the four seasons of Japan, with waterfalls and suspension bridges in the surrounding area. The open-air Ryokan (Japanese inn) is of course filled with hot spring water, but you can enjoy the view of the flowing waterfall surrounded by trees. There are three Mixed-Gender Hot Springs baths, and we hope you will enjoy each one, but there are also designated bathing times for women only. The view of the waterfall from the baths built into the cliffs right next to it is spectacular!

鬼怒川温泉で秘湯に入りたい、ということなら八丁の湯ホテルがおすすめです。大自然の中にある温泉宿で、露天風呂からの景色が素晴らしい。温泉の源泉は自然から湧き出たお湯のかけ流しで、森林浴もしながら温泉に入れます。「関東最後の秘湯」といってもよいくらい、神秘的で素敵な温泉に入れるホテルです。お部屋は洋風のロッジもありますが、せっかく日本で泊まるなら本館の和室おすすめします。

It is a quiet and relaxing inn.
There is a very unique open-air bath. The hot spring water flows in as a waterfall from about 5 meters above. It is a rock bath surrounded by green trees. The meals are set meals mainly made with mountain delicacies. You can enjoy salt-grilled trout, grilled chicken and steamed vegetables in a hot pot, etc.

「八丁の湯」は標高1,300mにある山の宿です。滝を見ながら入れる秘湯感たっぷりの露天風呂があり、100%自然湧出のかけ流し温泉が楽しめます。基本的に混浴ですが、女性専用の入浴時間帯や、女性専用貸切露天風呂や、男女別の内湯もあります。夕食は地元の山の幸が堪能できる会席料理で、日光湯波や、いのしし鍋が味わえますよ。

This is located in the mountains at an altitude of 1,300 meters in Kinugawa Onsen. It is a log cabin hot spring inn that takes advantage of its location surrounded by mountains and valleys. The rooms are equipped with tatami mats, and you can enjoy the warmth and atmosphere of the design. It was clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed the rare dish of boar hotpot, which matched the atmosphere of the inn.

Hot spring with a waterfall view
鬼怒川温泉ではなく、正式には奥鬼怒温泉ですが、秘湯であることは間違いないです。さらさらと静かに滝が流れる中入る露天風呂は最高ですよ。食事には普段まず食べることがないであろうイノシシ鍋が出てきます。くさみもなくとても美味しいかったです。
