"Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranosho" is perfectly located right on the main approach (Omotesando) to Kotohira-gu Shrine. The location is outstanding. The open-air baths (rotenburo) here are fantastic, too. From the men's bath, you can actually see the Omon Gate (Great Gate) of the shrine. It's the perfect way to soothe your tired muscles after the long climb, all while enjoying the view. If you choose a standard plan, there are many dates available for around 15,000 yen. For what you get, I think it offers excellent value (good "cospa").

You can enjoy the healing scenery of Konpira-san and the nature of Sanuki. The hot springs, which are said to have skin-beautifying effects, can be enjoyed in an open-air bath or a bath with roses floating in it.

First of all, the food here is delicious. I stayed here once six years ago, and the food was particularly memorable. Dinner was served in the observation restaurant, where we had a Japanese banquet, and breakfast was a plentiful Buffet. The Japanese food on the breakfast menu was delicious. It was also very convenient, being close to Konpira Shrine. The price was also quite reasonable, and I would have liked to stay for several nights.
