"Gero Onsen Yamagataya" Reviews & Details
"Gero Onsen YamagatayaReviews about "
- There are two private open-air baths along the Hida River, so you can enjoy a relaxing family bath. After the hot springs, you can enjoy the classic table tennis. For dinner, you can enjoy Hida's local cuisine, such as Hoba-yaki. The local Hida sake was so delicious that I drank too much.

There is a table tennis room
- "Yamagataya" is an inn that offers a shuttle service from JR Gero Station. You can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content in the rooms with semi-open-air baths, private open-air baths, and shared large public baths and open-air baths. Meals vary depending on the plan, but you can enjoy Hida beef as "Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)" or "sukiyaki" for dinner.

A long-established hotel with very reasonable prices
- Although the building is a little old, we recommend it for its reasonable price. It is possible to stay alone, the meal includes kaiseki cuisine, and there is an open-air bath. It is located a little independent guest cottages from the center of Gero Onsen, so the surroundings are quiet, and the view of Gero city from the room is wonderful. Of course, there is a parking lot, and it is very convenient as you can walk to sightseeing spots in Gero city. We recommend it.
Answered question: I'm going on a solo trip to Gero Onsen. Can you recommend a place to stay that has a Japanese-style, relaxing room?

From Yamagataya, you can enjoy hot spring tours in Gero Onsen.
- If you're traveling with two girls and want to enjoy Gero Onsen, we recommend Yamagataya. This is a long-established Ryokan (Japanese inn) that has been in business continuously since the first year of the Bunka era in the Edo period. Yamagataya is a member of Ryokan (Japanese inn) that are eligible for the Yumeguri-Tegata (the bathing ticket which can use for other hot spring facility). The inn has a spacious large bath and an open-air bath, where you can enjoy the hot springs while watching the murmuring of the Hida River and the Hida mountains. There is a rental service for colorful yukata, so you can take instagrammable worthy photos. For dinner, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal ingredients from the Hida region. The inn is just a two-minute walk from the hot spring town, making it an ideal place for sightseeing and hot spring touring.
