  • A charming Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) at the foot of Arashiyama

  • This Japanese Ryokan (Japanese inn) is located very close to Togetsukyo Bridge, near the landing for the Hozugawa River Cruise. You can also walk to the bamboo forest path in about 20 minutes while enjoying the shops in front of Arashiyama Station. You can enjoy the scenery of Kyoto in each season from your room, so it is recommended to stay here in any season. Renting a kimono and strolling around the famous sights of Arashiyama will surely be a good memory.

  • A good value-for-money Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Arashiyama

  • Most Ryokan (Japanese inn) around Arashiyama are expensive, but this Ryokan (Japanese inn) has a good location, food, and service, and is also cheaper than others. It is a Japanese-style building like a mansion in the center of Arashiyama, and has a calming appearance. You can take a walk in the large courtyard, or relax while looking at the garden from the lobby. The Japanese-style rooms have views of the courtyard and Arashiyama. Western-style rooms are also available. There is a large public bath, which was perfect for relaxing after sightseeing in Kyoto. Dinner was a gorgeous Japanese kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal ), and I was very satisfied with the beautiful decorations and delicate seasoning that are typical of Kyoto. Breakfast was also a purely Japanese menu, and there were many pickles, a Kyoto specialty, lined up, which I enjoyed. Overall, I was very satisfied and was able to enjoy Arashiyama even more.

  • A recommended accommodation for sightseeing in Arashiyama

  • The location was great for sightseeing in Arashiyama, and I had a memorable and comfortable stay. The main tourist spots such as Togetsukyo Bridge and the bamboo forest were within walking distance, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The Japanese-style building has a courtyard. The delicious Kyoto kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )and Japanese set meals for breakfast were great, and the service was polite and the atmosphere was nice, so I was able to relax. It was also nice to be able to relax in the large public bath.

  • A quiet inn with a Japanese-style courtyard and large public bath

  • It is a 15-minute walk from JR Saga Arashiyama Station and Hankyu Arashiyama Station, and a 5-minute walk from Keifuku Dentetsu Arashiyama Station, making it easy to access tourist sites. The inn has a tranquil atmosphere like a mansion, and there is a courtyard where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll while taking in the Japanese atmosphere. There is also a large public bath where you can relax and soothe your travel fatigue. For meals, you can enjoy luxurious Kyoto cuisine that allows you to enjoy the four seasons of Arashiyama. There are also plans that include a Japanese sweets making experience, so please give it a try.

  • It's a well located accommodation

  • It is conveniently located within walking distance of Arashiyama Station, close to Togetsukyo Bridge, and has a nice atmosphere. The accommodation fee is very reasonable, so you can stay casually. There are Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms, but I recommend the Japanese-style rooms. They face the courtyard, and the combination with the Japanese-style rooms is picturesque. For breakfast, you can enjoy Kyoto-style obanzai in a Buffet style. I think this is the best hotel for strolling around Arashiyama.

  • The food is very Kyoto-like

  • Although it is out of the center of Kyoto, it is very convenient for walking around Arashiyama. Although it is located very close to Togetsukyo Bridge, it is very quiet because it is surrounded by rivers and greenery, and the atmosphere is not too fancy. The food is also very Kyoto-like and delicious. There are Japanese and Western-style rooms, but I think the Japanese-style rooms are more relaxing.

  • Visiting sacred places in Arashiyama

  • Tenryu-ji Temple, which is also registered as a World Heritage Site, is also recommended as sacred places. The inn is very convenient as a base for sightseeing around Arashiyama. Nonomiya Shrine is close enough to walk to through the bamboo forest, and I feel like I received a blessing from it. It is a small, cozy and cute shrine. If you take a bus and go a little further, you can also go to Suzumushi-dera Temple, where the Jizo of Happiness is located. This is also recommended as sacred places. Ryoan-ji Temple and Nison-in Temple are also recommended. Arashiyama and Sagano are a treasure trove of sacred places.
