Zao Shikino Hotel

This is a representative hotel in Zao Onsen. There is a large open-air bath where you can relax while looking at Breathtaking view. The indoor bath and large public bath are also wonderful. There is another large public bath outside the building, so you can enjoy Visiting hot springs different baths. For meals, we had a delicious local kaiseki meal made with seasonal ingredients.

「蔵王四季のホテル」は蔵王連山のふもとに位置しており、四季折々の風景を楽しめるホテルです。自慢の絶景露天風呂は、ホテルから歩いて108歩のところにあります。蔵王連峰の竜山を望むことができ、かけ流しのお湯にたっぷり浸かり、贅沢なひとときを過ごすことができますよ。料理も、四季折々の幸をふんだんに取り入れられ、お米も夕食には「はえぬき」朝食には「つや姫」と山形が誇る2種類のお米をいただけたりと、グルメな彼も大満足されることと思われます。

It was a very pleasant space surrounded by nature. The food served was "Zao Mountain Kaizen," a local dish made with local ingredients, and I thoroughly enjoyed the local flavors of Yamagata. The hot spring was also pleasant to the touch, and it was an inn that seemed to have everything I was looking for.

The atmosphere inside the building is nice, so this hotel in Zao is perfect for couples. I think it's the best in Zao in terms of being able to enjoy the hot springs. In addition to the hot springs in the building, we were able to use the independent guest cottages baths and the hot springs at two sister hotels for free. The food was also delicious.

This is an inn where you can enjoy the changing seasons around Zao Onsen, including the frost-covered trees. There is support for the ski resort, but you can also use the hot springs at the sister hotel, and there is also plenty of support for elderly people. The snowy scenery from the open-air bath is especially recommended. It's also nice that there is a foot bath so you don't have to stay in the bath for too long.

If you want to enjoy a hot spring to the fullest, this is the place to be. I stayed here last winter and it was clean and cheap. For dinner, you could choose between Shabu Shabu（Japanese hotpot）or sukiyaki, and it was all-you-can-eat. In addition to the baths in the building, you can also Visiting hot springs baths in the independent guest cottages baths and two sister baths for free. The difference in temperature in the cloudy water in the snow was exceptional. I recommend this place for lodging, but in terms of hot springs, I also recommend the large open-air baths on the course and the public baths (which are hot springs!) in the hot spring town.

While this is a large-scale hotel, it also offers the traditional comfort of Japanese-style washitsu rooms. The true centerpiece, however, is its extensive selection of open-air baths (rotenburo). Here, you can relax and soak in the milky-white sulfur spring while taking in a grand panorama of the Zao mountain range.With several baths to choose from, each offering a unique ambiance, you can enjoy a varied and luxurious bathing experience. For your dining pleasure, the restaurant serves exquisite cuisine featuring Zao's finest local ingredients, perfectly paired with local sake. The melt-in-your-mouth Zao beef is an absolute must-try.
