• I highly recommend the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima. It's a beautiful, comfortable hotel nestled in a lovely setting on the Seto Inland Sea, and it's definitely worth booking for more than one night. One of its biggest advantages is the amazing access to Miyajima Island; a high-speed ferry departs from the pier right in front of the hotel and gets you there in just under 30 minutes. The views from the hotel are fantastic, and the food is also excellent. I particularly recommend the buffet, which features delicious local ingredients like Hiroshima's famous oysters.

When I went there, the dinner was a buffet, and you could eat as much oysters and steaks as you want, which are famous in Hiroshima. It's a great hotel where you can hold weddings. • It takes 30 minutes by free shuttle bus from the center of Hiroshima. Although it is a little independent guest cottages from the venue, you can see the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea from the guest rooms. There is even a hot spring, so it feels like a resort hotel. If you take just 30 minutes, you can have a relaxing stay that you can't experience in the city surrounded by nature.
