  • [Tokachigawa Onsen] An inn with an open-air bath and delicious food

I am planning a family trip to Tokachigawa Onsen in Hokkaido. Can you recommend a place to stay where we can enjoy an open-air bath and delicious food?

Tokachigawa Onsen Kangetsuen Hotel

14-2 Tokachigawaonsenminami, Kato-gun otofukecho

  • A hotel on the banks of the Tokachi River

  • If you are going to Tokachigawa Onsen, why not try Kangetsuen? This hotel is located on the banks of the majestic Tokachi River. The hotel has a variety of baths, including an open-air bath with a spectacular view, a cypress bath, a walking bath, and Lying-down bath. You can bathe in the moor hot spring, which has a soft texture and is known for its skin-beautifying effects. For meals, you can enjoy delicious Japanese banquet meals made with vegetables grown in the Tokachi Plain, with the motto of local production and consumption.

  • Enjoy moor hot springs in the open-air bath in your room

  • You can stay in a room with an open-air bath. The open-air bath in the room is a natural hot spring, a rare moor hot spring even in the world. For meals, we had creative Japanese and Western cuisine, mainly using ingredients from Hokkaido. In addition to the baths in the rooms, there are plenty of hot springs, and you can also enjoy the open-air rock garden bath.

  • Enjoy the Tokachi scenery all to yourself in a room with an open-air observation bath

  • This hotel has many rooms with open-air baths. There were also rooms with open-air baths with a view. I stayed in a standard Japanese-style room, which was spacious and had a great view. In the large public bath, I was able to enjoy the hot springs in a spacious and open garden open-air bath. Meals are made with ingredients from Tokachi, and you can choose between a Buffet style or creative cuisine style to suit your budget.
