This hotel is directly connected to Zao Onsen Ski Resort. I could see the slopes from my room. Rooms that can accommodate four people are Japanese-style rooms or special rooms. The large natural hot spring bath has an open-air bath with two tubs of different temperatures, and during the ski season you can enjoy bath to view the snow. Dinner is Japanese food. For the main dish, you can choose how you want to cook Yamagata beef: "Teppanyaki," "Sukiyaki," or "Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)." Breakfast is Buffet. There are also dishes that are typical of Yamagata, such as ball konnyaku and omizuke. The Yamagata beef curry was delicious. There is free drink service in the morning and evening.ずんたこす's answer (Posted on:2024/6/ 6)

The hotel is located right on the slopes, close to the Ropeway station.
-
This is a long-established hotel in Zao Onsen. It is in a great location to get to the ropeway station (Sanroku Line) and the slopes by crossing the bridge over the river. Although it is a natural hot spring, Zao Onsen is highly acidic, so please be careful not to let children stay in the bath for long periods of time. The food is also satisfying, using local specialties.opensatori's answer (Posted on:2023/11/24)

A recommended inn near the ski resort in Zao Onsen
- This inn is located right in front of Yokokura Slope and has rooms where families with children can relax. We recommend staying in a Japanese-style room in the south wing facing south, where you can feel the nature of Zao. You can also enjoy the natural sulfur spring water in the open-air stone bath and the spacious indoor bath. There are also three types of private baths that can be enjoyed by families only: cypress, granite, and barrier-free. As for food, you can enjoy kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with seasonal local ingredients such as Yamagata beef and Yamagata Prefecture-grown rice "Tsuyahime". The inn's original sake Hachiemon is particularly delicious.うまき's answer (Posted on:2023/11/23)

Convenient location near the ski resort
- This inn is located very close to the slopes, so many guests stay there for the skiing purpose. The hot spring is also authentic, and the open-air garden bath is in a wonderful location where you can feel the four seasons. It is lit up at night, so you can enjoy a fantastic view. There is a wide variety of food, including Yamagata's specialty potato stew, wagyu beef Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot), and Yonezawa beef steak. Since it is Yamagata Prefecture, the white rice is sweet and delicious, and Japanese sake is a must. There is a famous sake, so please try it with your meal. It also has Japanese-style rooms that can accommodate up to five people, making it perfect for family trips. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Zao from the large windows.
