I am a student who loves Japanese festivals and folklore. I am going to Akita to meet a real Namahage. So I am looking for a hot spring inn where I can easily stay by myself. I would like a reasonably priced inn with access to hot springs. I would like a place where I can eat a lot Buffet or taste typical Japanese local cuisine.

This hot spring hotel in Hachimantai is a comfortable place to stay on your own. The welcome drink, nuts, and chocolates in the lounge, although self-service, were delightful. The view from the open-air bath, which makes the most of its location, was wonderful.

You can also enjoy a powerful Namahage show during dinner. Near the hotel, there is an observation terrace with a wooden deck overlooking Lake Tazawa and Akita Komagatake, offering a wonderful view of nature.
