Nozawa Onsen Hotel

7923-3 Toyosato, Nozawa Onsen-mura, Shimotakai-gun

  • Hotels that own hot springs

  • There are three open-air baths with natural hot spring water from which you can enjoy snow views. I stayed in a 10-tatami Japanese-style room, which was spacious and relaxing. It also had a sink and toilet, which was convenient. From the rooms on the second floor or higher, you can see the flow of people passing by in the hot spring town. There are also rooms with open-air baths.

  • There is an open-air bath made of cypress and rocks.

  • There are two types of open-air baths with different atmospheres. One has a Japanese-style open-air bath with a cypress bathtub, and the other is surrounded by rocks, making it feel like a hidden place. Both have different atmospheres, and when you see the snowy scenery, it looks even different. Men and women alternate at certain times, so you can enjoy both wonderful baths.

  • There are open-air baths with different themes

  • You can enjoy the hot springs and the four seasons in a large bath with Lying-down bath reclining bath, three open-air baths, and a variety of baths. There are also rooms with open-air baths (Mino ware, cypress bathtubs) in the guest rooms, so you can experience something out of the ordinary. The water is 100% natural hot spring, and the quality of the fresh, raw spring water is excellent, so it leaves your skin feeling moisturized.

  • A mysterious open-air bath whose color changes depending on the weather

  • The open-air bath at this inn changes color depending on the weather, temperature, and time of day. There is a rock bath and a cypress bath, and in winter you can see the snow scenery from either. There is also a private bath, so you can enjoy bath to view the snow in a private space.

  • Enjoy seasonal scenery from the open-air bath

  • There are three different open-air baths, including a cypress bath and a bath with water that changes color. There are also private open-air baths, so you can relax and enjoy the snowy scenery. There are many different dishes on the menu, including Nozawa Onsen 's specialty "Nozawana" and Japanese beef "Shinshu Premium Beef" hot stone grill, and they were all delicious.

Nozawa Onsen Nozawa Grand Hotel

8888 Toyosato, Nozawa-Onsenmura, Shimotakai-gun

  • An open-air bath overlooking Nozawa Onsen town

  • Nozawa Grand Hotel is easily accessible, with a direct bus from Iiyama Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line. The hotel has a large public bath with 100% natural hot spring and an open-air bath overlooking the Nozawa Onsen town, where you can enjoy the snowy scenery in winter. Guest rooms are available in Japanese-style, Japanese and Western room, and Western-style, all of which are bright and clean. Some rooms also have an open-air bath. For dinner, we had a traditional kaiseki kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )made with plenty of locally produced seasonal ingredients, including Shinshu premium beef, trout, wild vegetables, mushrooms, and Nozawana.

  • You can see the whole hot spring town from the open-air observation bath.

  • Nozawa Grand Hotel is located on a slight hill, so you can get a panoramic view of the hot spring town from the open-air observation bath. You can't see this view unless you stay here. It's truly amazing. In addition, there are two hot springs and three baths, all of which are free-flowing from the source. If you value open-air baths in Nozawa Onsen, this is the hotel for you.

  • An inn with a great view from the open-air bath

  • The open-air bath at this inn offers a panoramic view of the Nozawa Onsen town, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery while soaking in the bath with natural 100% natural hot spring water. The food was local cuisine using seasonal Nozawa produce. There are also rooms with small open-air baths. The bathtub is small, but it is tasteful and has a nice view.

  • Enjoy the Breathtaking view snow-viewing open-air bath!

  • Nozawa Onsen is an area that receives a lot of snow, so if you go there in the winter, the Nozawa Grand Hotel is the place to enjoy Breathtaking view snow-viewing open-air baths. There are separate open-air baths for men and women that overlook the hot spring town of Nozawa, and the snow scenery from here is exceptional. Although it is inconvenient, there is also a private open-air bath a little further independent guest cottages where you can enjoy the view of the mountain village.

Nozawa Onsen Ryokan Sakaya

9329, Toyosato, Nozawaonsen-mura Shimotakai-Gun

  • A tasteful large communal bath and open-air bath

  • The open-air stone bath was very tasteful. The large bath, wrapped in the warmth of wood, was also wonderful and filled with the atmosphere of a hot spring. There was also a sauna and a cold bath. I was satisfied with just the hot spring at this inn, even without touring soto-yu (public bathhouses). The ski slopes could be seen from the room, and the view was great. For dinner, there was a lot of Shinshu mountain produce. Breakfast was also Japanese, and I could choose between regular rice and "tororo rice", and I chose "tororo rice". I was satisfied with the variety of dishes that were served, including dried river fish, wild vegetables, and Nozawana.

  • There is a large public bath with a traditional Japanese design.

  • There was a large public bath built in the traditional style of a bathhouse by a palace carpenter. It was dimly lit even during the day, and the unique atmosphere was filled with the feeling of a hot spring, making it a healing space to relieve the fatigue of everyday life. The bathtubs were divided into "hot water," "warm water," and "waist bath" according to different temperatures, so you could enjoy bathing according to your physical condition. The open-air bath was adjacent to the large public bath, and although it was not large, it was decorated in a Japanese garden style and had a very atmospheric feel. The open-air bath in the winter with a snowy landscape was the best.

Toyosato 8713,Nozawa Onsen

  • An inn that retains the hot spring atmosphere of the Meiji and Taisho eras

  • The hot spring is free-flowing from the source, and the bathtub has a retro feel. You can enjoy bath to view the snow in the open-air bath. You can bathe in the two bathtubs at any time during your stay, except during cleaning times. This inn is also famous for its outdoor Visiting hot springs, so while there are not many inns with open-air baths, the hot spring at this inn is of good quality and highly recommended.
