Can you recommend a hotel in Toyama Prefecture where I can go to see the Owara Bon Festival?
I want to go to Toyama Prefecture, which was featured in the NY Times' "52 Places to Go in 2025," and experience the good old days of Japan. I'm going to see the "Owara Bon Festival" in September with four friends, and we're planning to stay near Toyama Station, so please let me know what hotels you recommend. I'm planning to stay in Toyama for two nights and then go to Kanazawa. If there are any other recommended tourist spots within train distance of Toyama City, such as old-fashioned townscapes, please let me know.

Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu is located just a three-minute walk from Toyama Station, offering easy access to the Owara Bon Festival, held in September. Its proximity to the station makes it convenient for dining and souvenir shopping. From rooms on the east side, you can enjoy views of the majestic Tateyama mountain range. While in Toyama, we recommend enjoying the dynamic natural scenery on the Kurobe Gorge trolley train, or experiencing the untouched Japanese landscape of the Gokayama Gassho-zukuri Village, a World Heritage Site. If you're traveling by train, both are relatively easy to access from Toyama Station, allowing you to fully enjoy traditional Japanese culture and beautiful scenery.オコジョ's answer (Posted on:2025/5/ 1)

3 minutes walk from Toyama Station. There are many seafood restaurants and izakayas nearby.

We recommend the Route Inn Hotel, which is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from Toyama Station. For four people, you'll need to reserve two rooms with twin beds. Breakfast is complimentary, with a 30-item Buffet offering both Japanese and Western cuisine, and is of higher quality than other business hotels. We recommend Toyama Station! There are plenty of souvenir shops, so you'll have plenty of Toyama souvenirs to choose from within the station. There are also plenty of restaurants serving Toyama specialties and local dishes, such as conveyor-belt sushi with white shrimp and fresh seafood, and black ramen. It's very popular with tourists and always crowded, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time.OnsenDaisuki's answer (Posted on:2025/1/ 9)

A hotel with onsen(hot spring) run by a famous hotel chain, perfect as a base for your trip
- The natural onsen(hot spring) Toyama Tsurugi no Yu Onyado Nono offers a large natural onsen(hot spring) bath and sauna where you can soothe your travel fatigue. The modern Japanese-style rooms have a calming atmosphere, making them a relaxing place for all ages. Located within walking distance of Toyama Station, it offers easy access to tourist spots accessible by train. If you're touring the prefecture, we recommend Yamamachisuji and Kanayamachi in Takaoka City. You can relax and enjoy the traditional atmosphere of the old townscape. A short trip to Himi City also offers fresher seafood. This is a recommended hotel with onsen(hot spring), comfortable rooms, and convenient travel options.モモンガ's answer (Posted on:2025/5/ 1)
