• This hotel is located on the central road of Tamatsukuri Onsen. The rooms are spacious and bright Japanese-style. The river in front of the hotel is lit up at night, and there is a foot bath nearby, so it is used by many people. Although it is a reasonable hotel, the indoor bath is made of cypress. I think it is quite a good deal to be able to use a hotel of this class at this price. There are times when events with the theme of "matchmaking" are held nearby, so please be sure to visit. Izumo Taisha Shrine is also conveniently accessible by train.

• This is one of the best Ryokan (Japanese inn) in Tamatsukuri Onsen, and is a magnificent building built on the banks of the Tamayu River that runs through the hot spring town. The open-air garden bath has a calming atmosphere, and the hot spring is so wonderful that you will want to go back again and again. The food served is a lavish selection of seafood from the Sea of Japan. When making a reservation, you can choose whether to eat in your room or at the restaurant.

• There is an open-air bath where the water flows from deep in the bamboo forest. I was able to relax thoroughly in the quaint space. Some plans include in-room dining, but not all do. From my room at Kachotei, I could see the torii gate of Tamasakuyu Shrine, which is popular among women. It is a short walk to Tamasakuyu Shrine and a few minutes walk from the center of Tamatsukuri Onsen, and the first bus stop for buses to Matsue is next door, so it was very convenient.
