  • A Cost-Effective Hot Spring Inn Where All Rooms Have Open-Air Baths

  • Tokinoyu Setsugekka is a onsen(hot spring) inn operated by a famous hotel chain with locations nationwide. Its charming Japanese atmosphere nestled amid the natural surroundings of Hakone. All rooms have their own private open-air bath, so it's recommended for those who aren't used to Japanese large public baths, allowing you to relax and enjoy onsen(hot spring) without worrying about being seen by others. Accommodation fees are often under 20,000 yen, making it a conscientious inn where you can enjoy traditional Japanese hospitality and onsen(hot spring) at an affordable price.

  • Superb Dining and Excellent Complimentary Services

  • The hotel's services were incredibly satisfying. We were impressed by the free amenities, including the complimentary private onsen and the delicious late-night yonaki soba (ramen). The dinner was a spectacular creative Kaiseki course that was both generous and extremely flavorful—truly fitting for an anniversary celebration. The quality of the services and the superb dining, combined with the room's private tub, made this a genuinely luxurious Hakone ryokan experience.

  • Private Onsen in Every Room and Easy Train Access

  • We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary because of the luxury of having a private open-air bath in every room. Being able to dip into the onsen anytime without interruption was absolutely the best part! The location, just a short walk from Gora Station, is also a huge advantage. It's so convenient for Hakone sightseeing, especially if you have a lot of luggage. The views during the mid-November autumn foliage were just stunning.

  • All Rooms with Private Open-Air Baths! Experience Authentic Japanese Hospitality

  • Operated by a major hotel chain, Tokinoyu Setsugetsuka is a slightly more luxurious onsen ryokan. Every single room comes with its own private open-air bath, which is perfect for those who might be uncomfortable with public baths or who have tattoos, allowing them to enjoy the hot springs at their own pace in privacy. For dinner, guests can choose from Japanese-style main dishes like premium Wagyu shabu-shabu or sushi. The hotel also offers rentals of colorful and charming yukata (casual kimono), which international guests particularly enjoy. You'll find Japanese hospitality woven into every detail of their service.

  • Wear a yukata and enjoy the hot springs and various Japanese cuisine courses

  • This is a popular Ryokan (Japanese inn) with an open-air cypress bath in every room. You can also enjoy the 100% natural hot spring from the source in the large bathtub, which is luxuriously full of Japanese atmosphere. The open-air bath surrounded by trees has a nice atmosphere, and since it is large, you can relax in it without worrying about the people around you. There is also a private open-air bath, so you can enjoy the hot springs to your heart's content. They also lend out yukatas for free, with various cute patterns, which made the hot spring trip atmosphere even more enjoyable. For dinner, we had a Japanese-style kaiseki kaiseki(a traditional Japanese multiple course meal )with hot pot, but there were also other Japanese dishes on the menu, such as a sushi kaiseki meal and a wagyu beef Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot)course. It is close to Gora Station, so it is easy to access the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

  • The comfort of an open-air bath surrounded by the scent of cypress! We recommend "Hakone Gora Onsen Tokinoyu Setsugekka," which offers outstanding privacy with an open-air bath in every room. This inn has a calming Japanese atmosphere and is recommended for couples. It offers many attractive services from a female perspective, such as stylish bath baskets for touring the baths in the building. The three private baths, which can be used without a reservation, allow you to enjoy the magnificent nature of Hakone, and the baths are especially pleasant as the seasons change.

  • We recommend this inn in Gora. All rooms have an open-air bath, so you can maintain a sense of privacy. We recommend it because you can stay without worrying about others. It is also conveniently located, just a one-minute walk from Gora Station. The inn is friendly and polite, so your overseas friends will be warmly welcomed. You can enjoy the atmosphere of Japanese "omotenashi" hospitality. If you want to explore the outlets, we especially recommend a trip to Hakone.

  • Splurge a little and eat some wagyu beef and take a dip in the hot springs

  • This hotel is located right in front of Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Railway. If you're looking to refresh yourself after a hard day at work, this kind of luxury is nice once in a while. They offer plans where you can stay in a room with an open-air bath, so you can relax in the hot spring without having to worry about anyone else. Many hotels are crowded with day-trippers depending on the time of day, but this hotel's plan allows you to relax by yourself, so it's recommended.

  • There is a day use plan available. Recommended for relaxing and enjoying the hot springs.

  • I wanted to relax in the hot springs on a day trip, so I chose Setsugekka. It's just under a 5-minute walk from Gora Station, so it's easily accessible and easy to get to. The room with the open-air bath was spacious and clean. The open-air bath in the room is spacious enough for two adults to bathe in, so you can relax in it. You could see the trains from the room, but there was a lattice fence so privacy was ensured. Also, the large public bath was available even with the day trip plan, so I tried it. It was spacious enough, the spring quality was good, and it warmed me up very well. The staff were also very friendly, so I'd like to stay here again next time.

  • I used it with my girlfriend on the recommendation of an acquaintance.

  • If you take the mountain railway from Hakone Yumoto to Gora Station, it's only a 1-2 minute walk. It's also conveniently located for dining and shopping. The room was clean and comfortable, and although small, it had an open-air bath. Of course, the large open-air bath with 100% natural hot spring is also recommended. There are several family baths (open-air, no reservation required), each with a different design, so you can enjoy them in the morning and evening. Overall, it's good value for money and suitable for couples, so I recommend it.
