  • Please recommend some high-end hot onsen(hot spring) inns in Matsuyama city or Dogo onsen(hot spring) in Ehime prefecture.

When I go to Japan, I'd like to travel to Matsuyama in Ehime Prefecture and experience Japanese hospitality at a luxury onsen(hot spring) Ryokan (Japanese inn). I'd like to stay at an inn with delicious food in Matsuyama city or Dogo onsen(hot spring). Could you tell me about a hotel that local Japanese people would like to visit at least once?

Dogo Onsen Dogokan

7-26, Dogotakocho

  • It is a highly satisfying Ryokan (Japanese inn).

  • We recommend "Dogokan." The charm of this hotel is its interior design. The interior is designed to resemble the streets of Edo, making you feel like you've traveled back in time. You can almost hear the atmosphere of the bustling town. The concept of the meals is "things you can only eat in Matsuyama," and you can enjoy dishes incorporating Matsuyama 's famous products. If you want to take a bath in onsen(hot spring) we recommend staying in a room with an open-air bath. You can relax in onsen(hot spring) without the hassle of traveling.

  • A luxurious place to spend time

  • We stayed at Dogokan in Dogo onsen(hot spring) just once, for my wife's birthday, and everything was of high quality, making for a very comfortable stay. The dinner in particular exceeded our expectations, and we were amazed at how delicious Iyo beef was, something we tried for the first time. The onsen(hot spring) water was also excellent, and we ended up spending a long time in the bath.

  • A hot spring inn where you can enjoy delicious cuisine

  • I highly recommend Dogokan in Dogo onsen(hot spring), where married couple and I stayed when we traveled to Shikoku. onsen(hot spring) and the service were excellent, but the dinner in particular was delicious, made with plenty of seasonal ingredients, and the number of dishes was just right. It also seemed like each dish was carefully prepared, making it a truly enjoyable experience. It's a place I'd like to visit again.
