  • Especially recommended for summer vacation, the pool and the buffet with Breathtaking view view are the best

  • If you're visiting in the summer, we recommend Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel. There's a large outdoor pool shaped like Lake Biwa, and a shallow children's pool, so kids will have a blast playing there. The restaurant buffet on the 37th floor is a staple in the evening. They have a wide selection of roast beef and Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes, and kids' favorites like hamburgers and fries, as well as soft serve ice cream that you can make yourself, which was a delight. They also hold summer festival events during certain periods, so you can enjoy the hotel all day long.

  • The attractive feature is the abundance of facilities that you can't get enough of

  • If you're in Shiga, I recommend the Lake Biwa Marriott Hotel! My children are small, and this hotel has so many facilities that they can't play all they want. The planetarium is particularly unique, and they even have programs for children, which they loved. There's also an indoor pool, and you can play table tennis and badminton for free in the gymnasium. It's also close to Kyoto, so you're sure to enjoy your stay in Shiga.

Enjoying delicious local ingredients will make for a wonderful memory of your trip. • The natural onsen(hot spring) and balcony are the best

  • Lake Biwa Hotel is very convenient. It's only about a 10-minute train ride from JR Kyoto Station, and once you arrive at Otsu Station, it's a short ride on the free shuttle bus. The best thing about this hotel is the large natural onsen(hot spring) bath. After walking around Kyoto, it's great to relax in the open-air bath while looking out at Lake Biwa. All rooms have a balcony with a view of Lake Biwa. The kids loved watching the boats from the balcony. It's an easy-to-access hotel that's relaxing for both adults and children.

Lake Biwa Grand Hotel Kyo-Omi is about a 20-minute train ride from Kyoto Station, and there's a free shuttle bus from the nearest station (Ogoto onsen(hot spring) Station), making it easy to get around even with children. The highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly the spacious public bath with a panoramic view of Lake Biwa. The view from the open-air observation bath is truly refreshing.
