  • Convenient location near the ski resort

This inn is located very close to the slopes, so many guests stay there for the skiing purpose. The hot spring is also authentic, and the open-air garden bath is in a wonderful location where you can feel the four seasons. It is lit up at night, so you can enjoy a fantastic view. There is a wide variety of food, including Yamagata's specialty potato stew, wagyu beef Shabu Shabu(Japanese hotpot), and Yonezawa beef steak. Since it is Yamagata Prefecture, the white rice is sweet and delicious, and Japanese sake is a must. There is a famous sake, so please try it with your meal. It is close to the ski resort, so you can move around efficiently and enjoy both the hot spring and the food.

  • Very close to the slopes! The ski resort is close and you can enjoy hot springs!

Zao Plaza Hotel is located just 100 steps from the slopes. The Uenodai slope is where Zao Onsen Ski Resort originated, and is a sort of mecca for skiing in Zao. This hotel is recommended for ski and snowboard enthusiasts, as it also has a ski drying room and changing rooms. It also has Japanese-style rooms that can accommodate up to five people, making it perfect for family trips. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Zao from the large windows. Please also enjoy the milky white "beauty skin bath."

  • Located just a 1-minute walk from Yamagata Zao Onsen Ski Resort

Zao Plaza Hotel is located just a one-minute walk from Yamagata Zao Onsen Ski Resort. The two-room Japanese-style room is spacious enough for a family of four to relax in. The bath 100% natural hot spring and is available 24 hours a day. Please be careful not to get the hot water in your eyes as it can be very painful. • The open-air bath offers a beautiful view of the garden.

Zao Plaza Hotel is about an 8-minute walk from Zao Onsen Bus Terminal Station. The bath is a free-flowing bath with a private hot spring source, and you can see a wonderful garden from the open-air bath. However, if the hot water gets into your eyes, it will hurt for a while, so be careful. For meals, you can also enjoy ball konnyaku and beef teppanyaki.

  • The restaurant has a wonderful view.

We highly recommend Zao Plaza Hotel, primarily for its spectacular scenery. Perched on the mountainside, it offers breathtaking views. From the dining hall, you'll be captivated by the sight of the mountains rising to your left and the world spreading out far below on your right—a view you could gaze at for hours. The open-air bath is exceptionally spacious, ensuring you'll have plenty of room to relax without it ever feeling crowded. One friendly tip: The spring water is famously potent due to its mineral quality. Please be mindful not to get it in your eyes, as it can cause a temporary sting.
